MAC x Marcel Wanders 2 (Spring 2012) Discussion

It's similar in weight than the original MW compact from 2010. It's light enough to throw it in your purse if you chose to do so. If you look up the original one, you'll get the idea of it (just imagine it in chrome). As it comes with a refill, the price is not too bad, though it definitely is a collector's item.

Yes, maybe. :) And maybe Kim as well. And Karin. ;) That's a lot considering I didn't even want anything.

So, will you get Inez after all?

Still uncertain if I should haul from this collection. I have Whirls & Twirls, Double Spin and Soft Sable, and while there are differences in the MW lippies, I think I'm good on my frost lipsticks. I don't really wear them too often, except Whirls & Twirls because it's a MLBB shade

The brush is super gorgeous, though!

Join the club, I am tempted but I might be good and not get Inez, since MAC makes it really hard to get it for me. I need to look up swatches of Kim ;)

i dunno why im hating (literally) hating the finish! Inez is the only OK one to me,.... :( and I was exited about packaging

The finish of all four lippies is divine. I'm surprised that MAC called these frost as they are so different from the typical MAC frost finish.

If you can, check them out in person. It is very hard to capture the finish in a photograph (in the same as you cannot photograph glass and/or metal objects without losing the particular reflection of the surface). If you still hate it after checking them out, money saved :)

that brush looks really nice! thanks for the pics mac-guy!
i don't think i will be getting anything from the collection, but the packaging design is really quite attractive, especially the brush and the compact.

That brush is super sexy!! Totally skipping this collection. I'm not impressed by any of the lipsticks or glosses from the pics; I'll check it out in person, but so far, they make me

Wow, the swatches look very different on Allura versus Christine. I am relieved we can see this collection in person before purchase, hope that it won't sell out though before I get the chance. Anyone know if they will get these at Macy's?

I think I'm going to get Annelie and Felicienne. I know a lot of people don't care for frost lipsticks but I rather like them, especially in more muted colours. I would be getting Inez too, but I have Courting Lilac and Aristo-Cat (plus back-ups) and I think they're all similar enough to skip Inez.

I have decided to only get Inez, and skip the glosses. I will probably get Comfort & Joy instead of Karin (if we get Tour de Fabulous after all) and skip Kim as I have Spanking Rich.

This is torture. I really want the 187, but I don't use the one I have as much anymore now that I have fallen in love with round, synthetic foundation brushes.

What are you using?

Lauren Luke's foundation brush. I have a couple of other similar shaped brushes, but it is now my go to foundation brush. I use my 187 now more for pigmented blushes, highlighters, and buffing out cream blushes. I want that 187, but for $80 maybe I should save it for another collection.

Ok I wasn't going to get much, if anything from this collection but I'm loving the lipsticks! Mac-Guy (or anyone that has played with the products): How does Whirls & Twirls compare to Felicienne? W&T is my HG :( I am always looking for similar colors. I only got one tube of it and I won't use it because I don't want it to leave me (abandonment issues? Lol) I think I also want Inez.. And maybe the mystery powder... What is the mystery powder really used for? I suppose $60 isn't bad considering the refill and the lovely compact. The glosses are a skip for me. I seriously own so many after Glitter & Ice.
