The 128 is a great multi-use brush. So glad you are enjoying it!

And I think I talked myself back into getting the 167SH. LOL!

i can't recall whether it was in this thread or elsewhere, but i read somewhere that those two were similar enough to justify skipping WoG...

i bought superb and glorify as well, and love them both....especially since i got the 128 brush - before that i was a little less impressed with them because the brushes i had weren't really doing them justice!

I'm having issues with Dark Dare. I've been trying to use in my crease & or outer v over Primers, PP, etc. It looks okay from far away but up close it appears patchy :finger: & unblended no matter how long I've sat there & blended...not to mention the brushes used, as well as qtips. Thanks everyone.
I posted this a while ago but never got any responses. Is anyone else having this issue? Any ideas for me to not get it all blotchy???

Strange, I have tried it once last Friday. I used it quickly on top off the make up I had on that day. I had the feeling it blended really easily?

WoG is on top NARS Albatross is on the bottom.

WoG is complete shimmer until buffed out. In the sunlight WoG has a slight peach undertone on my NC35 skin.

NARS Albatross as you know has a white/gold duochrome on my skin. So on me, WoG is a peachy sheen, and Albatross is a gold duochrome.

They are both lovely, but not dupes. Hope this helps!

I used GG for girls night out on Friday and OMG... I LOVE it!
It was the most beautiful, multi-dimensional shade! I am SO happy I busted my butt tracking down this beauty! It's NOTHING like any other purple I have or have seen!

My favourite is Sweet Heat; great for summer. When I want an easy light look, I've been wearing a wash of Sweet Heat, Rich Ground fluidline and mascara. Also looks great with another colour in the crease, but not necessary either.

I wanted to love Grand Galaxy; I bought it and tried a few times. It was just too cold and frosty. Looks great on my green-eyed daughter though!

How did you use it? I tried putting in the outer V and it was a mess! I have the same prob with lunar. I dont think I can use them on anything but the lower lid for smokey eyes. But I pretty much have that prob with all dark shadows on the outer V, I always blend it to high on my lid. Must just be how my eyes are shaped

LOL... i didn't mean to anti-enable you....it's the top item on my list!
i was just saying that there are also other brushes that allow good bronzer application...of course us collectors have other reasons for purchasing...LOL...

And not to enable you, but GET IT! Lol. It looks stunning on darker skintones. You can't go wrong with it. It's not too shimmery that it's overpowering and the golden glowy sheen that it gives is just lovely on the cheekbones. I love using this with my 188 brush, as it just picks up the right amount.

liquidlinerlover on youtube has a gorgeous tutorial I tried for GG! I basically did a very similar version of this look...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s59fetmvxrk

It's honestly not as dark as you would think on the lid! Especially if you pop that bright color as an inner corner highlight (she used All That Glitters). It adds light to the lid so it doesn't come across too dark. Maybe give this look a try!

I originally just picked up MP, SH, and BO from this collection because I didn't want to use them in the crease. I am not a huge fan of anything shimmery in my crease or outer v area. I typically go with a matte or stain in my crease. So, I wanted the lighter metallic colors for my lids. But, after seeing a couple looks with GG (and my INSANE love for purple eyeshadows in general) I HAD to have it! It has gorgeous depth!

Hope you can get it to work for you!

I really love GG and RC, but like all the shadows and the SFs too, the formula is so multi-dimensional, that it give me "instant contouring" around all the curves and planes of my face and eyes. This is something you have to take into account with the shadows if you have prominent brow bones, hooded or flat eye lids, etc. because the light will reflect off in such a way that the color will appear darker and deeper underneath the curves automatically, even if you're applied the color sheerly. It's that duo-chrome-ish effect. GG has this very strikingly - it looks like I'm wearing 2 totally different shades on my eyes at the same time, if I apply it up past the crease onto the curve of my brow bone, especially at the outer third of my eyes, where my bone is highest. I even get this effect using Young Venus, which looks pale grey in the shadowy parts of my eye and light pink on the high points.

On the bright side, what makes these eye shadows a little tricky to apply at their best also is what makes them and ESPECIALLY the EDSFs so awesome to use - it gives you instant contouring. With the EDSFs, you can just slap them all over without a thought and get a great result that looks like you spent so much more time perfecting it. With the shadows, you just have to be a little more careful you are placing it in the spots that bring out the best of your eye shape, but once you have that figured out, you get that amazing look too.

I thought I made my peace w/ not getting WoG, but I just saw it pop back up on the Nordstrom website...AGAIN. So I placed another order for it...AGAIN. Wondering if/when I'll receive the inevitable "This order cannot be fulfilled" email, haha. Oh Nordies, why must you toy with my emotions like this?

I passed on WoG as well... Tried to add it to my cart at Nordstroms but it kept taking it out saying it was no longer available. So, hopefully since it let you purchase it, you will get it. Fingers crossed for you sweetie!!
