I think either one of them would work, but the pro longwear bronzers feel softer and more blendable and therefore i prefer them. If you use a duo fibre brush you should be able to build the colour up nicely. Other brushes work too, but if you're afraid of bronzers the duo fibre brushes might help.
I may have missed this, but which brush are you using to apply SD? Sorry if you've already mentioned it!

Ok Bee, I wasn't going to say anything since it's just makeup and it isn't that serious but you were completely rude to me for absolutely no reason. I asked a simple question and you went a too far with how you addressed me. AND also Mac-Guy as well. I don't always agree with what he says or how he says it, but it is his opinion and usually he's right on the money. Be careful what you say here.
I said what needed to be said. And I'm not going to be a follower and hold my tongue. Think what you want.

I´ve been busy the past few days, so I have to catch up with Specktra. But I agree with Lou that this collection has not been over hyped, at least not more than any other collection. Why is there talk about over-hype anyway - did I miss something?
LMAO. Did you miss anything? Besides the fact that you THINK you know everything and you DON'T... I'd say no... you didn't miss anything.  I'm going to make this short and super sweet.  If you knew everything, you wouldn't be on Specktra.  You'd be a senior artist for MAC traveling the world or a renowned artist working for high end fashion shows and magazines. But who are you ? A random guy who sits behind the computer and bullies chicks and tries to make them feel you and only you are right.  Guess what? YOU'RE NOT. You are not the king or queen of makeup lovebug.  NO ONE has seen YOUR WORK.   Anyone can swatch a lipstick on their hand.  But let's see you put it into use.  Until this happens, get off your high horse, stop attacking people, and HUMBLE YOURSELF.  Specktra should be a place of positivity.  NOT a place where people feel uncomfortable because some random dude stalks every board and tries to act like he knows everything.  Show us your work, make a blog, get on youtube, create a portfolio THEN TALK. Oh, and I can assure you that I am not the only one thinking this. I'm just the one with enough guts to say it, because it NEEDS to be said.  Take HEED to my advice sweetie pie.  MEN don't act like this. LOL -BEE
Damn, it's getting hot in here! The "drama" was an opinion, perhaps a vent, which we all need to do sometimes. We should be allowed to say what we want...let's just all move on. It's not hard to figure out where the comment is...just go back a few pages where u left off & viola. People get uncomfortable being around confrontation, but if it isn't aimed at you, you'll know it and there is no sense to drag it all out & about again. Let's support each other, as we usually seem to do & steer clear of those who may be too pompous, opinated, harsh, short or down right haughty. Life is too short to get all serious on a MU blog... We should thank g-d or whomever u think is watches over us & be glad we're not talking about serious illnesses or addictions. Trust me, I'm on a site for an illness & it is so hard to read and hear the struggles & problems people face every second of every day. That's why I came here so I can forget about REAL life for a little bit. Now let's see some swatches, FOTDs, & came here to do & talk about what we all love MU! Bee, If that's how u feel & u needed to get it off ur chest, good for u & I hope u feel better.

And honey, my grandmother told me a long time ago that when you TELL THE TRUTH, people will always call you rude or think you are being mean or hateful. LOL

Think what you want, and call me what you want lovebug. Because I'm not taking it back :-*

No, it's called a friend, ''lovebug''.

The fact that you're attacking me now too, even though I'm always trying to be friendly and helpful on here, speaks for itself. And I really doubt that when people are calling you rude it means that you're telling the truth, LOL.

We're all grown up people on here, so you should be able to tolerate one's opnion even if you don't agree with them, and like I said if you don't like someone you should just be mature enough to ignore them, and not start all this unnecessary drama.

I like your review. (Glad I speak my languages :p )
Even though I think it is pretty, you confirmed my instinct to pass. Merci beaucoup!

You are welcome! I know I must not be the only one who can't stand sticky stuff on my lips! Even if it wasn't that sticky, the color isn't special imo. It's almost clear with a couple of gold sparkles. Maybe if you were looking for clear gloss with SPF?

I like the 184 duo fibre fan brush (but i think the 188 can do something really similar) for light application and the 138 if i want more colour. I think the 167SH from this collection can do something similar to the 138.

From what I've read, we're about the same skin tone/undertone and I absolutely agree re: Crew. It's really pretty and I really wanted it to work for me, but unfortunately the swatches I've seen make me believe it's a pass. I'll test it out when I pick up the rest of my stuff, but I have other products that can/will fit this need.
It's just so PRETTY.../sigh haha
It is pretty. Good thing the ladybug is cute, too.

I don't think I need more than one or two items like this, and I'd rather wait for the next one that really is right for me.

Wow so rude. If you didn't like what he says or how he acts why can't you PM him? Now you've derailed a thread over some petty opinions and calling other people "minion and followers" because they don't agree with you. It's a two way street. You don't like his attitude, well maybe people just don't like how rude yours has been and how shady you went about this instead of being direct with the person you had an issue with.

Thank you for the review! I had high hopes for this, but I think I'll pass. I'll just use my beloved Jack Black lip balm, which also has SPF and is half the price.
Oh snap! Thanks for saying that lol. I never noticed that, only thing I don't like is that it tastes awful to me!

I meant men don't act petty and attack women. I work at MAC with MEN, so of course I'm accepting to men loving makeup. Like I told the other chick, think what you want, say what you want. I'm not taking it back. Deal with it. Because it needed to be said.
that's fine, and thank you for clarifying, but I think we've just got different impressions of some of the people on this forum, like flat out I'll say that like the first time I ever read Specktra I think I saw Piarpeet and Mac-guy playfully bickering about something and I was a little thrown off by it, and assuming that they were just random strangers on the internet I thought they were being rude or catty towards each other or something, but it literally took me all of 5 minutes to realize that they Piarpeet was just this spicy/adorable lady with a sense of humor and that Mac-guy was just clearly passionate about makeup and his clear point of view of the things he likes, I've never really seen anyone on here actually being rude or attacking / belittling anyone (until maybe right now) just giving their opinions and sharing a mutual love of makeup (and surprisingly being a pretty accepting/strong internet community) but clearly you've gotten a different interpretation of the situation! it's all good though, I'm just here to talk about makeup!

Nothing else to add but I do love the hair...purple looks awesome on you!

In other news, I just swatched RR and added it to my pre sale order. The only red lippie product I have is Nars Cruella Velvet Matte Lip Pencil (and I only bought that b/c I was rockin' a 20's look for a themed holiday party). Reds have always intimidated me, but RR looks like a nice neutral red to start with.

thank you :D! I think I might dye it blue of the same tone pretty soon here though, I miss wearing all my purple stuff and it just feels like too much with the purple hair.

On an unrelated note, I can't wait to get Crew and Sail La Vie! I think I'm just going to wait til they come out in stores since I missed SLV on the site, I can't believe I've managed to stick with the 2 original items I've wanted-- but I guess we'll see what happens when they're all in front of me

I just got my Flower Fantasy that I ordered a few days ago though, I cannot wait to try it, it looks lovely.

Alright - enough now. Really.

I know I'm new here, but I have as much of a right to express myself as anyone else.

I don't know what caused this tiff, and I don't really care. I would hazard a guess that many of the members here don't either. Is it too much to ask that this petty personal argument be taken off the board? In case it isn't obvious, you're making a lot of people uncomfortable and we shouldn't have to be a party to this.

I don't care whose fault it is, just take it outside. This isn't cool or fair to the rest of us. Not that you seem to care about any opinion that isn't your own.

I don't usually respond to this stuff because I learned a long time ago not to feed the troll, but enough is enough.
