Will do! This will be my first eye shadow palette. I was waiting until I got enough shadows to fill one up. I was about to get one of the old ones until I saw mention of the new design months ago. I'll try my hand at depotting once I get the palette. Then I'll have enough empties for my first B2M.I think I need the inserts as well. It's one thing to have them unaligned when I can't see them all the time. But seeing them in a disarray through the clear lids would drive me CRAZY!
And yes, i was at a f/s store. I dropped by to see if they had anymore old style palettes in stock and she showed me these instead. Definitely call your local store and find out!
Thanks for the link, they look exactly like i had pictured so I am glad I have held off.http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e113/nudieb/2012-08-23_22-55-54.png
Haha, you probably will (and the rest of us too).I dropped by the MAC f/s store after dinner tonight and saw the new palettes. I didn't have time to ask a lot of questions. I was so set on saving money by stocking up on the old style online, but I don't know if I can resist CLEAR LIDS! Trying to convince myself that I'll go crazy cleaning off powder dust all the time...
Unless you make a palette filled with cream products and store them in the fridge, I wouldn't put them in there. They dry out really fast as we have seen with the CBB's in Pro pans.I am going into palette overdrive!!!
Thanks for the pic! I love it with the insert.
just one..dont laughhow many of the old palettes do you have?? i only have 2 for shadows and 1 for blush so i'll definitely get these ones.
oh wow i did not know thatSold! And this pic confirms that I do need to get the inserts. I don't want my shadow pans touching and I want them to be perfectly aligned.
nudibelle, you can still get them without being PRO. You can call and order them from any PRO store. You'll just have to pay for shipping and you won't get the PRO discount. If you're near a PRO store, you can just go in and buy them.
Wait, the new palettes are available at free standing stores? I was at one tonight and could've asked about them. I'll call tomorrow to see if they have them.
at night before go to sleepthank you Nudibelle!
OOoO even betterYou can get these at a regular f/s store (and I'd imagine they'd be on the MAC website soon). The 12/24 inserts are only available at Pro stores, but you can walk in and pay full price for them (or call in an order if you don't have a Pro store near you). Thanks for linking the pics!
i depotted for the FIRST time last fridayWill do! This will be my first eye shadow palette. I was waiting until I got enough shadows to fill one up. that clear lid sure is PRETTY
This gives me hope! I'm nervous about messing up my shadows too and I could see myself spreading everything out for depotting surgery. What's the no heat method? I think I saw it mentioned on here before, but don't remember.i depotted for the FIRST time last friday
i did the no heat method
IT WASNT HARD at all
i was preparing for it like it was a major surgery on greys anatomy everything lined up, and breathing hard hoping i didnt jack up my shadows
ANNDDDD i did it in abt 15 minutes! lol!
If I had old palettes, I would clean them up real nice and sell them. Not everyone wants to pay the higher price for the new palettes and some people would want them to match the palettes that they already have.question: if everyone switches to the new ones, what r u gonna do with ur old ones? can they be back 2 mac'd? LOL
I just bought more of the old palettes; the new ones look nice but I'm just too cheap. LOLIf I had old palettes, I would clean them up real nice and sell them.
