I'm thinking Christine should have reviews up tomorrow since she just uploaded a sneak peak.

i actually kind of like that lippie. and then allura always applies the lipsticks in a sheer way. i know she said that she passed it on several times, but still flamingo looks blah on her and on me its quite pigmented. but we'll see. temptalia is the opposite when it comes to applying something.

I kind of get why it's in black & white, but I would have preferred to see the products in color:

their videos are sometimes or always kind of pointless. i know lady roitfeld is french but sheesh the way she talks is not helping me understand a thing, im hispanic and i have an accent so speaking "drunk", doesnt help people understand me. i guess she is trying to be sexy and mysterious.

I think that considering C.R. is a lady nearly 60, black and white was probably chosen to accentuate her best qualities and downplay the rest. Her eyes are absolutely beautiful and she's got a pretty trippy demeanor. I'm sure she's seen and done quite a few wild 'n interesting things in her life. Definitely an individualist!

P.S. Look how gorgeous she was when she was young:

I think she looks better today, even with that hard-livin' edge.

the blushes kind of look the same to me, the eyeshadows too but one is a matte palette and the other one shimmery.

Absolutely agree! Everyone is too used to seeing perfect youthful skin in ads. We all eventually get old!

I love it too. I already got two tubes and will get two more - at least.

I'm always irritated when people review products in a certain way without taking into consideration what this product is intended to look. MAC clearly describes this as, "Light and neutral with a polished, glazed finish, this exclusive Lipstick is custom-made to perfectly complement Carine Roitfeld's dramatically intense smoky eye looks."

Anyway, there is really no point in reviewing products when one lacks a basic understanding of fashion, style, and trend.* Those who follow the style of CR know that she is all about smokey eyes, but very neutral lips and no or barely-there blush. So from that perspective, the l/s fits the bill perfectly. To me, this l/s is great as it adds a hint of nude color without looking dead, it's glossy but not "p0rn star wet", and it's moisturizing.

There are quite a few of neutral color palettes ahead of us. While one might not be into these colors, it doesn't mean that they are bad. For example, personally, I don't wear or purchase colors like CYY. Would I give it an "F" or a "D" because they are too pigmented and bright for my personal taste? Certainly not! It would be great if reviewers would take into consideration for what look certain products will work. A CR collection would never have a bright lippie in it. It's just not her. Get educated before giving out bad grades.

The good news is that the l/s won't sell out immediately. Hoorray for that!

Dumb question.... but in the promo pics the eyelash curler is black? but says that its perm?

If its a black lash curler... call me an emo, BUT I NEED THAT!!

I'm pretty certain that it is LE: "Our Full Lash Curler is exclusively shaded in black for M∙A∙C Carine Roitfeld. With its simple "squeeze and release" motion, shape your natural lashes into a soft upward curl. Use before applying the collection's 49 Lash."

I actually like the lippie. Even though it's barely visible.

I'm still upset that the collection won't be available online here, only in three stores in the whole country, which are nowhere near my area. The Desert Camouflage Kit is really nice as well and I adore the matte black packaging. But nothing in this collex seems worth to be hunting it down.

Want to know something funny? I only just tried out an eyelash curler this past year - they always looked too much like something out of A Clockwork Orange and it freaked me out. When the MA used it on me, I was so surprised it didn't hurt, LOL. It actually gave really nice results - did things for my lashes that just mascara can't.

The MAC curler seemed nice enough, but I've heard the Shu Uemura one is the best out there. Mac-Guy or anyone else want to weigh in and give some advice?

i have really long lashes so i usually just curl them and then i dont use mascara. if i curl them and use mascara i just look scary cause my lashes look really long black and thick and they get so curly that they end at my eyebrows. so i have to do one thing or the other. so i never spend money on mascara. when im done with my eye makeup i just curl my lashes. a lash curler is a must in my makeup routine.
you definely need one liba and it doesnt hurt. of course you do have to be careful not to pull those little lashes that are in the corner of the eye. or you'll get that crying sensation, jk

girl, emo would be the last word to define you, with all the bright shadows and lippies that you wear!! the black definitely makes it more classy.
