What's the opinion on the BP with NC complexions around here?

I'm wondering if it would work on me. (NC20 here.)
I'm NC15 and the peach in it brightens my sallow undertones very nicely. It's got a pretty matte and opaque coverage, but still is a soft look when worn all over.

Ok, I waited to do my review on the BP until a secured several backups for myself first

The Beauty Powder is so beautiful on that I BU many times. It makes my skin look insanely flawless. It gives my face a beautiful subtle glow, the peach tone corrected anything & everything as Liba described before. I swept it under my eyes & over my eyelids & it correct the redness, blue & darkness. It is the correcting version of Elude. I seriously felt like it gave me movie star flawless skin

I never ever want to be without it & will most like just replace foundation with this. It even looked flawless in the review mirror in daylight, which is always a good test ;)

A lot of the bloggers got it wrong wrong wrong on this one. Maybe its because they are not artists that they didn't understand the application/use of it. I probably would have purchased a bunch of them in the beginning had I not listened to the reviews other than Libas.
i wish that mac came out with a beauty powder for woc that would give us that same effect. it sounds so wonderful lol.

i agree. im not an artist but i still gave it a try and im glad i did and didnt listen to everyone who said itll look really bad on my skintone. a lot of the times bloggers do just review it really fast just to get it out there, which is good to get it out there quick so we can all see what it looks like but i dont like how they are quick to really say not to get the product just because they themselves dont know how to use it or work with it, or just because they dont personally like the color themselves.

Thank you, Liba!

I've some redness in my cheek - do you think it would work in evening them out a bit?

I'm also not a fan of the completely matte look on me - I think it makes me look old, so I hope it still has some kind of diffusor look going on!

It' exactly as you've described - it gives me perfect porcelain skin! How many BUs did you end up with? I'm trying to decide whether 3 is enough...

Hey, 'glad to have steered you right - it really is an excellent BP - one of the best!

I'm glad you got some BUs - I just didn't have the energy to stalk the online makeup jungle for it. I might try to see if I've got a chance at a Nordie's counter today, but if not, I'll keep the faith that something along these lines gets offered again somewhere down the line, or that a Specktrette decides it's not for her and puts it up for sale. It's a must for palies who like a modern matte look!

Oh, I was so excited about the BP that I forgot the rest of my order.

I did get all three lipsticks 2 LG & then the others except for PZ which I already have. I've only received the LG lipstick so far & its beautiful and pulls pink on me too. I also got Showgirl which felt a bit gritty, but I love the classic old movie star blue color. Its very different from any other blue es that I have. I will probably get the other shadows Thursday.

From what I was told, one of the reasons the stock was so limited was that its based off of last years sales at this time - which didn't do very well. I understand the business aspect of that but really, they should have factored in that it was MM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! duh

And, for those who read here & you do MAC pro discount & put them up on ebay....MAC is hunting you down & you will lose your discount rights.

That's true... I certainly would rather it go to someone who's been dying to get it. I just get so nervous about having my pro membership revoked! Although the more I think about it, I don't see why SWAPPING wouldn't be allowed. Selling I can kind of understand because then you're making money off of it, but swapping is probably okay. I wonder if it would be worth contacting pro to ask them about this just to be safe, or if I should just go ahead and swap (but avoid selling). Hmmm...
How would MAC know you traded lipstick with a person on the internet (or a co-worker/family member/friend/charity)? Swapping is technically giving an item away. The nice thing is that the other person also gives something away to you. I honestly wouldn't contact them about this. You may unwittingly put a flag on your account for suspicious behavior. You'd hate to have a future order cancel because you raised their suspicions, kwim?
No good deed goes unpunished...

I could see that they based sales off of last year.. but last year MMO had a ton of misses! Plus, the collection had like 800 pieces.

You were incredibly spot on with it dear

I don't ever want to be without it. Aggh, you would not believe what I went through (a lot of RUDE MAC employees) to get them. I finally had to use one of my contacts to secure the rest. It is NOT easy to get.

Thanks for such an excellent review - I always appreciate it!

ps - I keep running to the mirror to look at my skin

I so agree with that! You know, I just don't understand why MAC doesn't get that with a lot of the products. It seems like a no-brainer to me.

I think it looks lovely on you - glad you got it to work.

I wore LG with a Chanel glossimer in Desir on top to get petrol this afternoon. Got some wierd looks, but I don't care because it's gorgeous. Desir brings out the pink in LG and also SPARKLES :D
