I'm sorry lack of english here, but what exactly are the high plains of the forehead? Is that the part around the hair line or the more the center of the forehead? I'm sorry I feel stupid here

i believe it's the hairline area...it's supposed to mimick where the sun naturally hits you....

The entire forehead is a high plain. The hairline is used for contouring, not bronzing.

Bronzers are worn on the high plains of the face-forehead, cheekbones (not hollows), chin and top of nose. Many people use bronzer to contour, and confuse the two concepts, but that's a whole other animal.
yup anytime i bronze up my face i do it on my cheekbones, and top of my nose. I rarely contour my face. Anytime i hear my friends say they're gonna bronze up their face but proceed to contour i always tell them technically your not bronzing your face up your just sculpting it. and im no makeup artist so im surprised people arent realizing this still

Thanks! I figured the hairline is most of the time hit less by the sun and therefore it was not the part erine meant to bronze. I'll have to try more things with bronzer and maybe I'll find a method I like better.

I just embrace my jelliness. Never bronze. Never tan. Never change colour. It's so much easier!

I do the same...I don't like having all that stuff on my face anyway, just some powder to stop shininess and some blush and I'm good to go with that part.

Loving the packaging!
It's going to be at least one of the quads and Caliente lipstick.
Maybe 1-2 pencils, if I will find a suitable sharpener.

Nice small haul, and looks like I might be able to get it while still on my holiday in the US.
How reliable is the overnight shipping on Mac website, if anyone has ever used that? I'll be flying back home on the 19th...

Sounds like there is finally a color story but I can't go back over 600 posts to find it. Can someone please provide a link for me? Thanks!

Okay so I'm not crazy when I was thinking bronzer essentially goes where you would highlight. I always learned you bronzed where the sun would naturally hit so high points of your face. That said, I've never bronzed b/c I'm not sure how that would help my look. (Why, exactly, would someone my shade bronze? Just curious.) I do want to learn to contour though. Any good tutorials?

Everyone, no matter what their colour, gets a kiss from the sun when they're outside. Essentially that's what bronzer does, with the risk of sunburn and aging. You're on the right track with the highlight/bronze placement, with the exception of the jawline (no highlight) and entire forehead (highlight is reserved for the lower center, bronzer for the whole).

Oh yes the jawline. I've never highlighted that and I don't mess with my forehead too much either. Having oily skin I don't need to add extra shine. Of course I tan. I tan very easily. I guess that's why I never thought to fake the "sun's kiss." My tans last for months even from a single prolonged exposure to the sun. My tan from one day in July didn't fully fade until Jan/Feb. It's never occurred to me that I should look more tanned than I am. Does that make sense?

eta: Well shoot now I got myself all curious about bronzer on me. Maybe it will be my HG look.

When my daughter gets back next month I'll swipe some of hers.
