Hip n Happy is already in the permanent line.

Not sure if I'm interested in a few of these, if i decide to not get a back up of heroine and ablaze lip liner from the fashion sets I'll just pick them up from this collection

I just looked all over the site, logged is as Pro and I can't find Hip 'n' Happy anywhere.

The problem is, they are getting so crazy with releases that they are aren't getting the products in stock in time for all these launches. I am STILL waiting for Definitely defined to become available from the ED collection. The pink glitter and the luster drops from Baking Beauties are still not in stock. If they can't handle all the launched they need to slow the hell down. It's so irritating to be waiting and stalking for hours/days just to have a collecting come up with half the shit you wanted not available.

I don't think Hip 'n' Happy is permanent, at least not in the US.

Ok... weird! It's disappeared from the UK MAC site LOL.

It's always been on there though and I got it when the Archie Girls came out :s It's even on the Debenhams and Selfridges website :S

No worries, I have enough stuff in my cart as it is... I'll just wait and grab it when this collection launches.

This looks like a nice collection, but i'm not getting too excited about it...

The blushes do absolutely nothing for me.
The Skinfinishes (which are a weakness of mine) look too intense for me.
I have Hip ‘n’ Happy and Heroine lip pencils and Orpheus Kohl Power Eye Pencil
Narcissus is nice but i have several glosses that are close in color

Except, the one thing i MUST have... Tropica Lip Pencil - Silver blue with purple pearlize pigments

and if it is really actually violet... Midnight Mambo Mineralize Lipstick – Intense violet

Once there are product pictures i may want more - i'm such a pushover for eye shadows and MSFs. But i think my self-control will work on this collection, as it did not on so many Spring collex, nor on Heavenly Creature last year, which i shopped at least 4 times, maybe more.

thank goodness this is right around my birthday, I know what I'll be asking for! I'm glad I already have Narcissus and Heroine l/l, shortens the list a bit.

I didn't think so. It's amazing how they continue to do this. It really is. 

And it didn't used to be this bad! One big collection every season, and a medium one plus one or two small ones (mascara or liner set) every other month. It's gotten way outta hand!

That's why i said screw my discount and got em from macys. I wasn't gonna wait, cuz by the time they get em in they'll be gone in a flash and I'll miss em completely!

When i was looking over old collections, i noticed that people have been complaining about MAC releasing too many collections each year for the past nearly 15 years. And when i sorta counted the collections it looked like the number hasn't changed much between the early 2000s and last year.

Of course, i agree, it's a huge pain in my pocket!

They'll keep going with this plan till something gives, whoever is in charge of marketing and collection planning is determined to believe this is the best path for them.

I honestly do think if they keep this up something's going to go wrong. Launching a collection is a lot of work and MAC is now launching 1-3 a month close to every month. Things are getting shoddy.

Only parts of the collection launching at the same time, similar colors launching over and over, doubling the same collections to launch, scrapping special packaging to 1-2x a year...

I'm guessing there'll be a collection where something goes really wrong (customers not getting their orders, a significant amount of products arriving damaged) and maybe MAC will re-evaluate.

Only thing is, with so many people buying, why would they slow down? MAC is a brand that never even has to have sales or gifts with purchases. They don't need to. LOL.

I saw a post on T's site by Dusty recently about Mac being the new MacDonald's drive thru of cosmetics. It was some kind of comparison with frequent new menus and that toys should be given out to go with the make up so will have something to play with after one get's bored with eyeshadow etc

But you are right, and the mcdonalds reference is spot on. it's ridiculous, and yes I'm right in line too, but I'm so overwhelmed right now I want to throw my laptop,brushes, eyeshadow down in defiance and walk away.
