My temperature must be rising. I have caught the MAC sickness. LOL I went to the mall on my lunch hour. Originally I was only going to Barnes and Nobles. Can somebody please explain how I ended up with Caliente (#3), Sheer Seduction (#2) and FMP (#2) as well as BMS quad in my bag? LOL

Very cute. I got a second Caliente and Sheer Seduction. I was thinking maybe I shouldn't because I didn't get backups with the initial Dazzle lipstick collection (although I bought them all). I thought maybe I didn't need to do it here but I really just loved the colors.

Unfortunately the quad isn't a complete eye look. It has no mixture of textures, so you need to bring in some mattes for it to work as a full look.

Erin I hadn't heard this theory before. So generally a person needs to introduce a matte (or satin, etc.) for a more complete look? Were you thinking in the crease? I'm intrigued.

Ice, you are my twin in the way you think. I don't think the popular items will make it to the CCOs and I see very few that aren't popular. I don't even think it is worth me posting my entire haul anymore cause it gets messy. I was with my in laws at Macys a few minutes ago and end up being talked in Sheer Seduction. I figure once these dazzle lippies are done I will go back to my only lipgloss rule plus Caliente needed company!!!! And I am done now and I mean it

The collection finally came here and i got the strobe,RFL,Copper Strip,Sundipped and FMP.i can't believe i was going to skip FMP it's amazing

.to me it's the more wearable version of Heroine(wich i didn't get because i knew i woudn't wear).it's the most wearable purple lip that i own.now i'm debating about going back for BMS and Underdressed...i really don't need them but they looked

Ok, I have had family visiting and I have not had much time to hang around the boards. I ordered my items from this collection while family was here and It just arrived and I have been playing with everything the last two day. I grabbed all three glittery lip glasses and they are GORG. I also got feel my pulse, rich glace and the Temperature Rising quad. I love everything except the quad. I feel like I can't get the lighter two colors to show up. No matter how much I try to layer, they are just so faint and blah. I think I'm going to send it back. It's a shame because I was really looking forward to that quad. Boo.

Wow! Moderin Mandarin and Ripe for Love are really close. I wouldn't have even thought about them being dupes. I can see the difference, but it's sure to be very subtle on the face. My CCO has about 10 Modern Mandarins... Check your stores, folks.

i'd have to try them out on my face to be sure, but it really might depend on skintone... i'm quite certain that modern mandarin leans more red-orange on me than RFL, which is like a dirty peach...

Im gonna try to get there tomorrow to see what they have, if there's anything new. Ideally you want a mix of shimmer and matte textures on the eye, otherwise it's too flat (all matte) or too reflective (all shimmer). Some good colours for this quad would be saddle, brownscript, embark, uninterrupted , texture, rule, red brick, always sunny, samoa silk, soft brown... Mattes are great for the crease and outer corner, and for liner as well. Keep the shimmer on the on the lid or the brow highlight, and the inner corner. Shimmers can also be used on the lower lashline. If you use shimmer on the lid, do a matte highlight, and vice versa.

Side rant: so I put my things on hold at Times Square and when I went to collect my RFL was gone. I was beyond pissed. My go to SA/manager went to check for me since they were supposedly sold out. While he was gone I saw a couple associates going through the hold bags and a RFL was taken out. I was livid. If you agree to hold something, NO ONE should be allowed to remove it. I calmed down and decided not to go off unless he couldn't find one. Thankfully he came back with a box full, but by that time the district manager had heard and he gave me one. I told my SA what I saw though.

This happened to me too. I placed a presale/preorder for this collection at a MAC store a couple of weeks ago. I had the nagging feeling that I should place an online order with Nordstrom as well - at least for my must haves. Someone pulled most of the products from my hold bag and sold them to other customers. Now I had not gone crazy with my presale with multiples. I just asked for one of each item that I wanted. Fortunately I went ahead and ordered from Nordstrom online when it was launched, so I have my products.

If they will not honor the hold, then they shouldn't offer to presell the items or take the hold.

Thank you for this info. I have been playing with the BMS quad and do like it better with soft brown or texture in the crease. I couldn't put my finger on why though.

I went to y counter this afternoon to pick p my order and they still had everything in stock! I was so shocked, they normally sell out super quick. In my original order i got the strobe liquid ( havn't tried yet), caliente ( it's ok, not in love wth it yet, maybe i need to see it in the sun) and copper strip (LOVE this pencil! I found it blended easiy with my finger, i just did one eye at a time. It will be perfect for bronzy summer looks, and i love that it won't budge so i can wear it when im playing in the water) I made the mistake of swatching RFL and then i couldn't leave without it, so beautiful. I stared at the swatch my whole drive home and put it on my face right away. I can't beleive i almost missed out on this beauty

This is very helpful Erine. I was wondering what other e/s I could use to compliment the BMS quad. I have 3 of the shades you mentioned. I also have Sunny Outlook pro longwear shadow and I was wondering what I could put with it. Do you think it will work well with this quad?

Some people have no honor. If u hold a item hold the item that's confirms it I will never call to hold items because u don't know if u will receive them

Absolutely! Now since SO has shimmer, just use one other colour from this quad, and use matte colours for the rest.
