MAC Temperature Rising Collection (May 2013)

Yeah, what can i say, i double tapped this collection. Ordered a back up of Caliente, got Copper Strip Powerchrome, and caved to the glitter and got Soft Serenade Lipglass.

Today i'm wearing Sheer Seduction on my lips, Rich Glance on my eyelids along with a copper brown eyeliner, and that darn Gold Elixir on my cheeks, highlighted with Shape the Future EDSF. Then, since my skin was pulling a bit pink, i dusted all over with pale, slightly peachy Forever Marilyn Beauty Powder to warm up my complexion and pull all the colors together.

I'm lovin' this collection. And Caliente is soooo much more gooooorgeous in real life than any photo i've seen. I just hope my order doesn't get cancelled.

Wow! Moderin Mandarin and Ripe for Love are really close. I wouldn't have even thought about them being dupes. I can see the difference, but it's sure to be very subtle on the face. My CCO has about 10 Modern Mandarins... Check your stores, folks.

I used my fingers...it made it easier to build up that way  I feel ya.  My forehead tends to get shiny as well as my cheeks.  Do you wear a primer?  I was thinking about investing in MACs Oil Control Lotion

no, I don't:/ I should try tho. I think I'm going to try the foundation primer first.

I almost feel like a slacker reading all you guys' posts since I only got Ripe For Love. Lol. I am thinking of getting Caliente though, I'm passing on Feel My Pulse since it looks like it might be a Style Curve dupe and I'm kinda tempted to try the Strobe Liquid now.

Honestly alone it's a translucent nude. I would never wear it by itself. I go for more opaque colors like honeylove and kindasexy. I hate having to "make" a color work.

I know what you mean! I had to scrub mine off with a makeup wipe. like literally 5 passes lol I just returned my BUs of these pencils. I have 35 year old skin that does not like the hard work needed to blend these pencils. My right eyelid is actually a bit tender this morning from the blending on Copper Strip. (maybe I was a bit overzealous with the blending but it looked so janky before)

Wow! I didn't have that kind of problem with Rich Glance. I was surprised and pleased at how easily it came off, and i use a cosmically groovy brand of mostly natural wipes. But i just ordered Copper Strip, and maybe, since it's darker, it will be more difficult to remove from my sensitive 64 year old eyelids.

I do have a pack of MAC wipes, and they usually work wonders on stubborn eye makeup. I always have a helluva time with mascara and i do NOT use waterproof, just ordinary mascara.

I may have just discovered how sensitive my eyelids are. Loving Rich Glance though since I don't have to blend as much. I may try to trade out my other pencils.

I'm using those other colours of the fatties for outer v and crease, taking care to blend very quickly with a good brush.

My temperature must be rising. I have caught the MAC sickness. LOL I went to the mall on my lunch hour. Originally I was only going to Barnes and Nobles. Can somebody please explain how I ended up with Caliente (#3), Sheer Seduction (#2) and FMP (#2) as well as BMS quad in my bag? LOL

Sitting in my class, it just occured to me that in my mind's eye, I was comparing RFL to Supercontinental and not MM. Now that I'm thinking of the right blush, it's true MM and RFL are similar, but MM still shows up lighter on me in a first pass than RFL.

I think that my actions can be justified by the simple fact that it is summer all year long in Florida so of course extras are a definite must in a summer collection. Another rationale is that if I am going to drive from Ft Lauderdale to Miami it better be worth the trip (gas is not cheap,lol) Bottom line, at the end of the day Mac is gonna get me and I am not gonna dodge
