MAC Retro Matte collection (September 12, 2013)

In these swatches they really don't look very similar, actually! I'm always hoping to find a dead on dupe for QS to fill the void in my heart...haha. I think I just need to track down QS. I'm just not going to dish out a million dollars for one.

Are you me? xD This is exactly how I feel about QS. And the worst part is that I was supposed to have it, too. I think I'm getting more adept at holding off on things/skipping entirely. This launch got bumped up a week for in-store, didn't it? If so, I plan on trying out RRW some more to see how my dry lips really feel about the formula, and then heading in to check out this, Pro Longwear, and Indulge if there's anything left. The wishlist is pretty hefty but at the same time everything is contingent on swatches rn.

I only got the nude matte shade from this collection + MAC Brave and MAC Twig. I was going to get FOF but then it's giving me such a Daddy's Little Girl vibe which I have 2 of. Totally skipped on Relentlessly Red because it looks like Party Parrot which didn't work on me (although it looks amazing on you guys). Dangerous was also a skip since I just got MAC So Chaud, 2 MAC Scarlet Ibis (from Marilyn) and still have not used much of Sail La Vie. The others don't really appeal to me as much but I'm happy I'm catching up to my permanents wish list!

Mac Fof and and Party Parrot aren t similiar at all.maybe i can take some comparison swatches later this day

I gotta take it easy on the MAC.  I just had a baby and I don't even go anywhere really, except once and a blue moon to the movies with my husband or Wal*Mart   Yeah I'm that girl with the beat face getting groceries. lol  So I kept my order short and sweet: 1 FOF 1 AFU 1 SG (not really my color but I don't want to miss out on it) No back ups. I figure it will probably take me 20yrs to finish the 60+ l/s and l/g that I have.  Thank you Richelle83 for the link earlier.

I'm in the same boat as you! Most of the make up I've bought lately have only been swatched. I rarely go anywhere other than cvs, the grocery store, and the mall to visit the Mac counter. Lol and everywhere I go I have a beat face like I was really going somewhere! But I alway have the urge to buy and can't fight it!

Just ordered Flat out Fabulous , am on the fence about FOD since I'm afraid it will look too similar to Diva... any of you ladies mind telling me the difference between the two (if any)

I figured FOD would be matter than Diva.

My guess would be just Fashion Boost since everything else is permanent, right?

I only got runway hit for now. I like to be able to swatch on myself first to see what I would actually wear and what I just want because its pretty on someone else. That way I don't end up ordering everything and then only wearing 2-4 of the items I bought. I usually end up cutting down a lot when I are it in person and against my skin. That way I can prove to my husband I do have some type of self control

So much for self control.... I ended up ordering all fired up, relentlessly red, and dangerous.....ordered flat out fabulous last night. I'm skipping the ll tho cause even though they're really pretty I hate sharpening pencils so those are an easy skip for me. more money for riri

Nice haul. I agree. Aren't these perm? I had thought I would just sit back and wait until they are released at the stores to b2m, but no. The minute I got the email saying they were online my blood went up and the excitement got to me. I just ordered Flat Out Fabulous and Relentlessly Red. I will try my hardest to hold off and b2m next week for two more.

I don't think I'll order any because my lips are super dry and the only matte I have is Riri Woo and I'm still unsure about the matte look. I love how it lasts so long but I'm not sure the cracked lips look is the best. But you never know...I may cave!

Lol yes they are perm. I'm hauling them like they're LE tho haha. I was going to do the same thing. Wait in store and make sure I get the ones I wanted but I love the formula so much! I have no will power...haha

It's official then, for me. I'm skipping fixed on drama (maybe next year) and will wait till spring for the rest that I want.
