the packaging to me is wack.. if i wanted a $5 lipstick from revlon i would get that instead of the chunk of change i'll be spending on mac...wish they could have done something more original.

i dont see how they look like revlon lipsticks.

its the same mac bullet in black. with some gold inside. the Tropical mist lipstick was matte black outside. it looks like mac to me not revlon??

It's the color scheme. Revlon's Super Lustruous lipsticks have black packaging with gold accents, so this looks just like that with MAC's bullet shape. I don't mind it at all tbh. -shrugs-

Is it from the London Soho line that's out right now? I'm trying to decide between this one and Maleficent! Yeah! I bought that one and The Evil Queen! I love that the EQ has little apples inside and Ursula has Octopi. I tried the Ursula palette but it had NO pigment so back it went- but it sure was cute

They do remind me of Revlon only because of the gold on the inside.

And some lines of Lancome lipstick keep the gold. But i've noticed that many of the "hipper" designer brands (MAC, NARS, MUFE) have gone to black or black and silver. I would say MAC, NARS and MUFE are also artists brands so black, neutral packaging makes the items look more generic. Think about it, most art supplies don't have fancy packaging. This type of the packaging is cheaper to produce, especially since all of these brands are discounted for artists; they are also and lighter to carry. Those gold tubes can be heavy. They are beautiful though. I love them.

Wow, I really like the black-gold tube of the lipstick, it seems soo elegant to me! And that berry-purple!

It's on my list, as well as the lilacy MSF, beautiful!!!
I need to save up to this collection. LAst year's holiday collection wasn't a big hit for me, but this one will be fore sure.
Can't wait for the colour story.
