I never see questions ignored. People just do not go back and look for the answers or except a PM I guess. There is not a new v. senior attitude but so many new posters seem to be intimidated and try to start drama. Also, people come for info only and never say anything. At least post what works for you and a review.
This seems to happen a lot in the big threads. You can ask a question in the evening, log off, go to bed, wake up and come to Specktra the next morning and 20 additional pages have been added to the thread. I'm willing to bet a lot of people aren't in the mood to go through the thread to look for their answers.

Uh yeah that is completely ridiculous and absurd, the information is public information that any one should have access to free of charge. The general population can't afford or would not care to pay a stupid charge to have access to a makeup collections info. What a way to take all the fun out of it. What's next getting a charge to read a horoscope? I would NEVER EVER pay for info on MAC collections that is quite laughable. Who would want to pay for info that should be free? No one because people don't want to get scammed on another moronic "charge" or "fee" in life.

I would like to point out that you asked a few questions prior to the release of the lipsticks so we really couldn't answer the questions. Once we got them your question was answered but I'm not sure anyone quoted you.

Like another member asked us a good 5 times to swatch two or three lipsticks together to compare. Each time I think she got angrier but at the same time we really can't oblige until we get the items.

Oh and your nothing useful thing to say comment, that happens to me a lot! Sometimes just a smiley face works until you feel like there is something you can offer.
Exactly. Usually I just post what I'm thinking of getting or what I did get, opinions on products, etc. If I could, I would post swatches, but sadly I only have a cheap webcam that doesn't show colors for crap. And my MAC addiction prevents me from buying a better one! xD

This is what happens when we get antsy waiting on swatches and people to get their goodies. I just wanna say I LOVE THIS FORUM... It came in my life when I was going through a rough time in my life... and I don't plan on going anywhere !!!

THIS is why I'm here. I joined up yesterday after YEARS of lurking around Specktra, especially the MAC boards. I figured I'm always here trying to get some swatches or see how something looks on NC45 skin, so maybe I should create an account so that I can also contribute to those swatches.

I was reading through yesterday & saw the alphas, but figured I just wasn't in the know. When I came back this morning (still huntin' them swatches, y'all! lol!), a sweet lady had offered to have people PM her to get the scoop, so I figured I'd take her up on the offer.

Now I feel crappy knowing that someone might think I just joined to find out what the code was or to jump on y'alls coattails as a reseller.

My HUSBAND probably wishes I was a reseller since he also doesn't understand why I need ALL THE BACKUPS, but I'm just here for me! Hahaha!

Anyway. I guess I'll just try to stay active, participate where I can, and get to know you fun ladies!

never had that problem (well, the 'useful' part may be debatable) ...having a lack of something to say

I was wondering what happened to your blog.  Karla Sugar too, she used to be the queen of swatches, but hasn't updated her blog in months.  Did she ever say why she decided to stop posting/updating/swatching?
If I remember correctly, I think she said she had a new opportunity that wouldn't leave her with much time for her blog. I miss her swatches.

I wish people came for reviews and how to wear items. Like what goes with X on X skin tone. There is so little of that now and that is why I came here. Now it is busy busy for launches then dead.
But it's always been like that

Especially with the over abundance of MAC collections, it's on to the next collection & thread.

I beg to differ, I would not mind paying. I mean they DON'T have to give the information, it doesn't necessarily mean it should be public. They go out of there way to provide information, I don't mind paying for something I do view as being a luxury, it's nice to know about collections before they happen. That's just me I guess.

I said that because $5 is not going to stop ebayers at all. It seems fair to me but that is my opinion. How many people only refresh here for launches instead of checking the sites? It is an amout to me that would keep lurkers out of the launch threads but still help those that only check here as a time saving measure because not everyone can check each site for 12 hours straight but wait for the subscription email with the update from here to go buy. I could see it as a fee for Specktra saving you from researching when it goes live on your own. Again JMO because a lot of people put as many hours in here as they would at a job during launches and time is money.
I do see your point, but not everyone has $25 to just pay Specktra to have access to message boards. And just to play devil's advocate, why do people think the only resource resellers use is Specktra? If I was a dedicated evilbayer, I would be up stalking to! And who's to say they wouldn't pay the fee, they've got more money that some members because they resell for stupid high markups. It's a slippery slope increasing the price that probably won't deter them, but will deter new members who are really into makeup and just want a place to share that love.
