Yayy team girlie !

NOW, if you do rugged things and like playing outside and your boots might have some mud on them and you know what jumper cables are for, and are not afraid of tomboying up from time to time, yet your makeup is flawless, you know 30 different shades of pink and sometimes might paint your nails in at least 3 different of those shades.... I'm sitting here in this corner! Bedazzling my giant jeep spare tire!

Team girly with a punch!

That one is the only tattoo that I didn't draw myself. I'm a huge Gorey fan. He is one of the artists that inspired me to be an artist.
I'm not super familiar with his work outside of PBS' Masterpiece Mystery Theater. Shame on me.

He writes/illustrates very strange children's books (some not for children!). He writes in poems with these dark pen and ink drawings. I just love his humor and the drawings are amazing for simple black and white.

I love those! I'm going to have to familiarize myself!

I'm just catching up to this thread. CRAP. Way too much purple in this collection for me to even attempt a skip or no-buying lol... It's just not going to happen, not when it comes to PURPLE!!!

From other fashion reports i've seen, it seems that balmy, greasy lid look isn't just at Kevin Aucoin. Supposedly MAC will have a similar product just for eye lids later this year. I don't recall in which fashion blog i saw it, something someone posted to some board here on Specktra...

Ah, the Gashlycrumb Tinies! That's a big favorite of mine. Alas, my parents wouldn't get it for me for Christmas in 1963. It came as a tiny 3-book set in a slip case with "The Insect God" and "The West Wing", which i especially loved because it had no words and was so atmospheric, one picture per page.

Nearly all his works have been collected into four large books: Amphigorey, Amphigorey Too, Amphigorey Also, and Amphigorey Again.

You can probably find them used through http://bookfinder.com
