So I'm curious, what happens at these 'events'?
I've never been to one myself, but I have heard you go in and they show you the collection and then try the products out on you.
You go in and get your makeup done (we always did just eyes/lips/cheeks on customers with the collection) and then you buy $50 worth of whatever you want. That's about it. No big deal really unless you want to try on the stuff before you buy it, which is a plus. Downside is that depending on when your appointment is, products could be sold out so you're SOL if you want to see a specific item on before you buy it. So if you really just want to buy something and are fine with just swatching, skip the appointment and go on the first day and buy stuff.
Is SR really that great? I've never seen it in person, and based on the online swatches I've seen it looks really shimmery. I'm not sure whether I should get it from this collection or not. What do you ladies think of it?
I think it's worth having one in your stash, if not as a soft blush topper. It has GREAT colour payoff, and applied softly if a gorgeous blush and not too shimmery if done right.
Im so excited to see the fluidlines but I have had some experience with them drying up, how can you prevent that from happening?
You need to keep it covered at all times! Dip and flip. Dip your brush in the jar and then flip it upside down on your counter. Then get more product and flip it upside down again. Never let it be exposed to air unless you're getting product. Same applies to paint pots.

Honestly, to me, it's a pass. I wasn't in love with the color. It was a bit too rusty on me. It just wasn't for met all. I tried to love, but just didn't. It's a shame, because it wasn't cheap. I bought it off eBay before it was repromoted. I thought it was something that I just had to have. Lesson learned. :(

I think it is. It's not at all shimmery, it's more glowy. I really like it and it suits me, but I appreciate that it's not for everyone. Why not try it and see?

I just applied SR, and I agree with Naynadine, I didn't get much of a shimmery or metallic look from it, it was more like a glowy look! I was trying to decide if this was BU worthy or not…haha

Thanks so much for the advice! I haven't been here long but I knew you would have great info!

I'm not sure if I NEED a backup just because for me it's a blush and with all the blushes i have in rotation, I honestly don't think I could finish it especially considering the large size, unless I wore it everyday. I wouldn't like to be without it, BUT i think I'll be safe not backing it up. Though, it wouldn't be nice if I lost it or broke it...

But, I would encourage you to try it out. I think it would look very pretty on your skintone!

I was looking at some old promo pictures of Apres Chic and the blush pictures at Nordies,... I'm kinda blind but do you guys think maybe one of the blushes could be "gentle"? (since Mac loves to re-promote the unnecessary)

Totally agree with Erine :) I went to the Marilyn Monroe unveiling and my appointment was at 5pm so by the time I was ready to check out all the lippies and blush were gone :( Now the only upside was that they had the even 1 week before the actual launch... So I was able to play with everything then wait for the relase date to get my stuff :)

Not sure if any one answered but I have heard a couple different ways. One, take a bit out and put it in a separate container, and use that so you aren't opening the original constantly, and keep that tightly closed. Two, along with keeping them as tightly closed as possible, store them upside down, something about the moisture drawing to the top that way. Also keep away from light. I've also heard people wrapping in saran wrap.

I can't get over the fact that Perfect Topping and Stereo Rose are coming back, these are two msfs I missed out on and always wanted to buy but didn't like the crazy prices people sell them for.
I am Team Girly Girl so I will be all over this but I need to keep in mind I'm Team Low Buy as well.

After comparing promo pics I think the light pink in this collection is a peachy pink. I don't really think the promo pic for gentle looks like gentle in real life, so who knows what this one will actually look like. But, in the promo pic for gentle, it doesn't seem to have any peach tones in it all. And it looks brighter as well.

Thank you for checking too :)..... I guess it was wishful thinking from my part since I already have that and SR lol...I saw differences on some pictures and then on others it looked similar hence why I asked

Hmmm true. I definitely will. I'm so excited to find out the colour story.
