I would be down with the pinks being frosts. I don't mind some frosty lips especially on pinks. Reminds me of being young and carefree for some reason.

Speaking from my own experience with Liquid Lurex l/s, which is another out there color, that is a really good question. I have worn LL twice. Are you very into layering? It's probably great for layering.

Ladies, do NOT buy the products because of their name. That might make them charming enough to acquire, but I doubt that it will cause you to wear them once they're in your stash. Most of us already have too much stuff that we're not wearing. I'm skipping this one because there's nothing here I'd wear. Cute theme, but that doesn't mean I'd look good with yellow lips.

Actually, I think yellow lipstick would look cute under the right lip glass or creme sheen glass. Pastels and sheer colors are going to be huge this spring. It's all about playing with colors and textures to get a unique look. Ladies, buy it for the name and WERK it how you see fit.

Oh, I'm not saying others shouldn't buy yellow lipstick; just that I won't because I know I wouldn't wear it.
I think people should buy products that they think will work for them and that they'll enjoy using; I just don't think it makes a lot of sense to buy a product just because it has a cute name.

I absolutely agree! It would be foolish to base your needs on the name or packaging of a product. I happen to prefer the bold, fun colors described in this collection because they DO work for me and best believe I'm gonna WERK it!!!!!! lol. I just happen to enjoy the creative names as well!!!

Urgh, illamasqua! They are So Close! To being the best makeup out there IMO, but its things like that darn lipstick formula that's really holding them back! I got a fetish lipstick that was so dry and hard it wouldnt swatch without me scrubbing into it witha lip brush!

As for me, I can work yellow lips, largely because my skin's already really yellow-looking so it doesn't make much of a difference. -shrug- It's largely the pinks I gotta watch out for.

I can't wear all golds and yellows, but when they're the right ones, they are amazing. My favorite is probably Baking Beauty mineralize lip balm. It's so yellow, but it's just the right shade and opacity. It perfects all my nude lipsticks that are a touch too brown and all my pink lipsticks that are too pink and it's warm and rich looking by itself with my natural lip color.
The best advice, as always, is to TRY before you BUY and if you can only buy online and are feeling very iffy about it, just skip it and wait for something you're more certain about (or buy it and pass it along to someone who will use it if you want to take the chance when you're not certain - but that's more of an expense and a hassle, if you want to be realistic).
