I was thinking the same thing about the yellow. I also have yellow undertones so as long as it's not too yellow. Don't want to end up looking like a Simpson lmao

but since I have redness it will probably be my best bet.
I've got yellow undertones too plus redness here and there. The yellow is fine on on me - I just need to use it only where it's needed. It's not something I would use full-face. I use the lavender one on the higher planes of the face and under the eyes and a touch of lavender powder to even everything out after foundation. Where my skin tone is at right now, I couldn't wear the CC creams on their own without foundation or tinted powder, but I can get away with the colored powder (compact) without anything else.

I've been using pale lavender face powder since the late 1960s. I think i still have the remains of that first compact lurking somewhere. Back then every foundation i ever tried oxidized to yellow-orange on me - i was young and with decent skin so i only ever wore foundation for fancy occasions. I loved the Biba and Mary Quant creams of the late 60s and early 70s because they didn't turn orange - they were very greasy, tho, which didn't break me out but felt a tad unpleasant.

Nowadays, when i have call to get all gussied up, i've been using MUFE color correcting primers - green on the apples of my cheeks, my nose, and my chin. And mauve on the outer edges of my lower face and jaw line.

I am looking forward to getting the new MAC compacts in lavender and yellow - portability!

And i'm considering getting the lavender cream. Those who have it already, does it feel like a typical primer? Or is it a jot more creamy or moisturizing?

(got this stuff sitting in my MAC shopping cart but i haven't pushed the button yet - i added 3 lip products and i'm trying to convince myself i don't *really* want them...)

The yellow is amazing for redness!
Hmmm I'm interested in the yellow for redness of acne scars and a little blotchiness. Has any one used it for similar reasons or maybe another brand that might work for that? Any advice ladies? Thanks! Thanks love, will be trying it!
I have used the Clinique redness solutions yellow powder and the Everyday Minerals one, they both are good for neutralizing redness--I buff them out like the Bare Minerals tuts suggest to do. I have tried cream products to neutralize redness and HATE them because they make my foundation not stick well. I think what works best is to spot apply the yellow correcting powder over blemishes, redness areas, capillaries, whatever after foundation is applied and then buff out then apply all over face powder over that. Just my preferences. I just got the Yellow correcting powder Pro Product, have not played with it yet though. I do like the idea of using the lavender to neutralize foundation when it oxidizes over my jawline, so that is a great idea @Lilinah!

I like the CC creams. And this is coming from someone who HATED the BB cream. I think it's light, maybe not moisturizing but not dry. I used it over my Studio Fix (both the lavender and the Adjust). I really love the way they make my death-pale skin glow without adding color. I thought I would pass on these but my MUA tried them on me during my FOF makeover.

I like it. I bought Adjust and Illuminate in powder and liquid (eek, I know). I prefer Adjust as liquid only, over my fondation. Then I go in with Illuminate liquid under the eyes finishing with the powder all over. My skin looks so even and healthy pale. Almost airbrushed. What do you think about them?

I love the lavender a lot. Interesting that you used Adjust over you foundation. I think I'll get adjust now. Thanks
I know! But my MUA put it over to even everything out. The foundation was pretty lightly applied, so everything was in a thin layer. It seemed to work really well like that. I think I could use it instead of foundation on like days. Let me know what you think.

Thanks for the tips about neutralizing the redness. Can't wait for the products to arrive in Europe, still 2 weeks to go, but I'll try before I buy #TeamLowbuy

My SA said that Adjust CC cream could be used instead of foundation for light correction. Or maybe some powder over it (Adjust powder?)

I tried Adjust CC cream again in store yesterday and think it will be nice for luminosity. It was sold out of the two stores that carry MAC in my local mall, so I ordered it online when I came home.

I still haven't figured out Recharge CC cream fully. This week I was so busy that I substituted the Armani orange corrector, and I also have a Tom Ford orange highlighting pen for under eyes. Obviously those are far more expensive, especially given the volume. They are packed with pigment, so you don't need much. I think that the MAC recharge cc can be sheered out better. Because I have the Armani and Tom Ford already in my stash, though, I think my Recharge CC cream will have to wait until I have more time to play to really get it to work and last on me. Hopefully in a few weeks.

I want to try something from this collection, but I just don't know what, haha
I really wouldn't suggest getting anything unless you can get advised by an MA in-store or at least some other MA somewhere - that'll be the foolproof way to find out what will work best for you!

I didn't like the BB cream AT ALL, either - it was so heavy and cake, bleh. The CC cream texture is so much nicer. I'm kind of amazed at how much they do to give a very natural effect. More is less, it seems! :yahoo: I really wouldn't suggest getting anything unless you can get advised by an MA in-store or at least some other MA somewhere - that'll be the foolproof way to find out what will work best for you! :cheer:
Thanks for the advice, I'll have a look into it when they are released in the UK!

I got a sample of the Adjust shade today - they were sold out of ALL of them even at my crappy little Macys
icon_eek.gif
. It was the best of the 4 on my light NW15 skin, but it was a just a bit too dark/beige for my liking although it was very nice on the skin. Its even a bit more beige than any foundations I use. FM powder is much lighter than Adjust but kind of in the same tones. Adjust is more beige & peachy than FM. I love the lavender - Illuminate on me, but its a different animal I think.

Ladies, you might want to check the post from Karen @makeupandbeautyblog where she discusses the CC Colour Correct with one MAC's make up artists:

I wouldn't recommend Adjust for NW15. Glad you passed.
