Agreed very bizarre
It is possible that Mac finally decided to meet demand this time, or that a handful of people are responsible for the winning colors. Still wish that flavour would have made it though (not a really unique color either I guess, but one that my local MA's still gush over).

on top of wonky bidding { I kept track of the bidding up thread } I think people get tired of updates. There have been 3 releases in my mailbox this past week... that new patent plush or what not and some blushes becoming perm... I mean how many times do they expect us to go through the stress of ordering crap we don't need anyway. And what in the world is wrong with having a spring, summer, fall, holiday collection instead of weekly stuff. Honestly all the other mu companies manage to survive with a months worth of mac updates over the span of a year.

this isn't me and my team low buy talking at all. It is the fact that I am sure we all have mu and we don't need to have it shoved down our throats every week. I am so happy I haven't purchased more than a handful of things in past 9 months. There are a few things I waffled over and kinda regret not getting but seriously....

you know these colors wouldn't be looking so boring if we hadn't had a new red, pink and muted pink get hyped every 2 weeks. I mean I still get excited over Dior, Nars, and Chanel reds, pinks and muted pinks but they come out every 3-4 months.

I think they finally met the demands that us as customers want but of course in the wrong collection.

OK I looked at my trash and inbox and I counted... between March 2nd and April 1st aka one full month I received 15 emails trying to hock stuff. That averages out to one email every 2 days so yeah I have update fatigue and I knew I wasn't buying diddly until today so blergh. For the gals who are all hyped up and stalking for new things .... I totally feel sorry for all the fretting about the peachy blush and new permanents and new lipstick formula and mineralize collection and oh yeah mineralize blush and sculpting what not. I mean if I were anticipating something all that email would have me going is it time already? Just the way I was when I got up this morning and saw 5 pgs worth of chatter.... stressssss.

Did you count the number of collections released in past month? Mineralize, Peachy blush, Patentplush, New Permanent Blushes and By Request with a new mascara and helpful emails telling you how to sculpt & get the red carpet look with product recommendations. That makes 6 releases in 31 days {one every 5 days not even a full week between} and I don't care if it is just an announcement or grouping together of permanent items.... it still is exhausting

For whatever reason (although, I think they're very pretty), this collection doesn't seem to have the same garnered the same hype and fervor of some of the other collections listed on this board. Maybe that has something to do with it. Check out the numbers of views on the various threads. By all accounts on how the Maleficent thread was going earlier (before the release of the pics of the collection), it seemed liked it would be a shoe-in hit, just like the Venomous Villains was. The number of views since the release of the pics has probably died down somewhat, after some much-needed venting about the disappointment of that collection. I don't see that collection flying off the shelves as fast as what they think it will. What do you guys think??? Now with the Proenza collection, I bet those blushes will by flying off the shelves in record time.

agreed... It would get maybe 100 votes during the day and then in an hour it would pick up 20+K votes. Ummm no.

I do admit keiko lynn makes PP look awesome saucy: http://www.keikolynn.com/2010/08/makeup-monday-and-yourkiss.html The post is 4 yrs old and she claims it is her favorite and it does look beautiful on her but then she is obviously a very pretty girl. I cannot imagine much looking bad on her
