Longtime lurker finally chiming in.

I am ridiculously excited about this collection. Proenza Schouler had me at metallic rainbow packaging. My original plan was to haul it all. Thanks to all of your online sleuthing, swatching and indepth comparisions I've reduced my list to 1 lipstick (Mangrove), 1 blush (Ocean City), 1 nail polish (Dayflower), and the blush brush.

Thank you ladies for helping to save money and not splurge on items that I probably wouldn't have liked.

Now they just need to hurry up and release everything!

Okay, I just saw photos for Alluring Aquatic, and uh... I need to skip this collection! I'm unsubscribing now.

I do wear a lot of orange reds and red oranges cause true reds look horrible on me that's why I was really feeling Mangrove.....buuuut....there's also Toying Around in the Playland collection that I'm stalking as well so I will just have to wait on more swatches of Mangrove before I can fully decide...I don't want to make any impulse buys and scoop it up just cause it's LE and cause it's yet another red orange/ orange red to add to my collection....I'd rather save the $$ on something else....my blush collection is pretty much non existent so I'd like to slow down on lippies and focus on blushes for a bit....oh the struggles of makeup hoarding
Toying Around is NOTHING like Mangrove in the slightest. (I've tried them both on my lips already, for reference - NC15/dark hair)

Toying Around is coral. It's pretty light on the red and heavier on the orange, but it doesn't read orange. It's very close to Toxic Tale - the closest we've seen from MAC since TT came out. It's bright, if not quite as bright as TT (it's a tiny touch darker than TT too).

Mangrove is RED, a warm red but not one of those reds that look exactly like orange combined with one's skin tone - too much red in there for that. Mangrove is a sophisticated color; one you could wear all year round. It's got a very interesting combination of dull and bright to it that looks very subtly unusual, compared to the usual movie star reds, bright reds or brick reds.

Toying Around is for a fun, blaring color, for spring, summer and other outrageous situations. It's very youthful and loud. Mangrove is for a super high fashion, modern red that is all about runway style. It's not in your face, but it's unique in a subtle way. I was going to skip it, but the more I think about it, the more I am feeling like it will be a very interesting addition to my reds - for when I want to be ultra-minimalist glam, and at my chicest. If you just want a super peppy, trendy happy party time color, Toying Around is the one, over Mangrove.

oooooohhhh Liba, loooooove your descriptions of both!!! I'm sooooo torn between the two....typically reds don't look good on me at all unless they're red-oranges; orange-reds; or brick reds.....any other reds end up pulling almost a fuchsia type color on me and look absolutely garish....I can wear colors like Diva with no problem though and even Studded Kiss which I thought would be a good red for me ends up pulling a pinky/fuchsia/magenta/weird type color on my lips.....how do you think Mangrove would look on an NC30-35 with dark auburn hair??? I'd looooooove to have a red I can actually wear!!!

You have to test reds in person, if at all possible. A lot of reds pull pink on me too (although Studded Kiss stays more or less red for me, if I make sure it stays touched up). I can wear orange reds too but not brown reds or reds that are too in the middle.

Mangrove isn't simply a bright color, so it ought to have less chance of going off in the direction of its undertone on you. My guess is it will stay RED on you and be very flattering, but you should just make an effort to go into a store and check it out.

I'd say if you have trouble finding reds that are good for you, Mangrove may be the better choice, but you really do need to check it out in person or risk a purchase you're not happy with. Reds are so picky!!!! 'Just as picky as nudes.

uhh I needed a good swatch of primrose! how about the texture?
Here I wear four layers Used with light hand gives more subtle effect Texture is tricky For my lips Primrose is drying so it needs to be put on with brush and with base In other case it does't look good I mean there are MAC lipstick that can be put with finger and look runway But not this one Effect is worthy to me :)
