MAC by Request (April 1,2014)

I love Queen's Sin! It's one of my top two reds! But, I think it's interesting that everyone is always wanting that one to come back because, it's a frost! All I ever seem to hear is how everybody hates frost! Anyway, I wanted Pink Poodle when I found out it was one of the ones we were voting for. I also wanted Glam and Rozz. While I love having new lipsticks in collections each year, it would be nice if MAC tried to bring back at least one old color in each collection they do. I think it would make their lives easier and make alot of their customers very happy.

Queen's Sin is prob the only frost lipstick that didn't look frosty on me. It almost looked foiled on me, which made me appreciate it more.

I def. wanted Rozz and i really think we should of got it instead of Pink Poodle. I got mine a little while ago and it is just terrible. oh terrible

I'm going to start emailing MAC to bring back Gladiola and/or Petals & Peacocks! Seriously.

The funny thing about those colors though is that they have other colors that came out not too long ago that look very alike. I think Daddy's Little Girl and Petals and Peacocks are the same thing just about, or color wise they look the same on me. At this point they can just be repromoted, they are still pretty young. It's a shame you really can't find one without having to sell your arm and leg for it.

i have two frosts that I really like… ummm I will pull them out of the b2m pile {they don't smell bad but darn they are old}

from antiquitease I really loved budding lust and I still have several of those still in box. It used to be my daytime color but is also in the b2m box because I started freaking out about 7 yr old lipsticks ;-/ Do you guys wear your really old lipsticks? Unless they smell rank of course…. I hate that I have so many things in my b2m box and I threw away a lot of cosmetics lately that were not mac because they were so old. It was certainly one way to cut down on the stash

I agree! None of the shades were unique, it was just a matter of what people want! I never understand why people wanted shades like Flavour, Hoop, and 3N because we see shades like that in every collection but, they appeal to someone so to each his own.

Oh i forgot about that. But a lot of people made an uproar about it. i think pple was more after CYY than the other two. I think for the most part people was after Gladiola and Petals based on packaging first before the color, or that's what people i see tend to purchase it for

oh i agree 100%. I think people really voted bc they saw a color not a texture, wear on person, etc. People said "OOO PINK!" and "OO THE NAME IS SO CUTE PINK POODLE" and just voted lol

T claims it is a matte frost which sounds wonky to me. All I know is it is gorgeous on and I will be so sad when my tube is finished. Now why doesn't mac make 'matte frosts' anymore. BTW the tube just says matte. Ah is this something nobody would wear anymore? Some of the comments say very 80's ....

I also am very fond of lusters. Not just mac but what other brands tend to call glazes. I prefer them to glosses because you have that semi sheer color and some oomph.

apparently my taste in lip colors is weird.... nobody buy glam

Wild Bout You looks like a darker, berry version of Queen's Sin. I have them both so I may need to compare them side by side. You are making me want to wear that color now. And no, I don't think it's 80s at all. I think their comments come from the fact that it is frosty looking. Besides, the 80s was the best decade ever!!

To be honest, I had to Google Gladiola's packaging because I've only seen swatches on Temptalia.

Dame Edna came out a couple of years before I got into MAC. Petals & Peacocks' packaging is kinda cute, but I'm not big on the flower and bird pattern. I'm definitely after the color. You're right though. They do look similar to Daddy's Little Girl. Too bad I didn't backup Daddy's Little Girl. I'm sure they will come out with similar colors in the future, but if it was an option for a future "By Request", I would vote for one of those.

I never knew they were similar! I think gladiola's popularity is partly the packaging too! I like the kelly packaging because it's lavender I actually like it better than dame Edna lol I'd like spit fire repromoted but who am I kidding I want it in Wonder Woman packaging lol

I'm guilty on this also. I loved the color, but the name was too adorable not to vote for.
