Mangrove - The camera makes it really neon looking!


ETA: So, I am absolutely in LOVE with Ocean City. It's PERFECT! I find it to be more pigmented than Sunset Beach. I haven't tried Sunset Beach on yet, but it is pretty. Not SUPER pigmented at first swipe, but it's buildable (did I spell that right? I think I'm having a brain fart after a long day) The color is pretty and I imagine I will love it on!

Oh I don't think I wrote that out right. The lipsticks that I got were both correct. What happened was I ordered Sunset Beach and Primrose. Then later I ordered Ocean City and Pink Fringe. I got both orders today. But the first order, which had SB and Primrose on the packing slip, actually had Ocean City and Primrose in the box. That's why I think the problem was that the Distribution Center in Kentucky mixed up the location where they stored each blush. The packer had the right lipstick for each order, but the wrong blush. Since this happened to everyone it couldn't be that the packers screwed up all of these orders. I actually feel bad for MAC because I don't think this was their fault. I'm sure Estée Lauder (who owns MAC) said, "we want you to use this distribution center in Louisville, KY". MAC can't help it that they screwed up the orders. We need some inside wisdom from @hergreyness on this!

I ordered yesterday around 9:00 am PST, and haven't received shipping notice yet. I'm in Vancouver, and I expect my package will come tomorrow, since I ordered about the same time last week for Playland. Didn't get it the day after I ordered, but the day after that (2 days). You're in the east, though, so maybe yours will be quicker.

My package with sunset beach arrived at like 3:30 pm but my ocean city shipped and is expected tomorrow. I really hope there's no problems with the Canadian orders because I'll just die if I end up with 2 sunset beaches! I feel so sorry that so many people got the wrong blushes

Sheesh. I ordered SB blush from MAC and OC from Macy because MAC was supposedly sold out. I hope i dont end up with two of the same. Maybe i will be lucky and if they are mix up they will be both mixed up so i end up with one of each? Anybody for swapsies if i get a wrong one?

Pretty sure it doesn't work that way. MAC, Nordstrom, Macy's etc. All have their own supply warehouse and distribution centers. So, the only way they could all mess up is if the Blushes themselves were mislabeled.

Temptalia has pics and swatches of the blushes under the swatches tab on her site. I must say that her pictures of the packaging make it look so dull, but it is really very nice in person.

Add me to the list of people who got the wrong blush MAC rep said I should get a letter in the coming days outlining their plan of action.... I was so looking forward to my Ocean City blush......

I swatched both blushes and I'm not really impressed. The pigmentation wasn't horrible, but it wasn't superb either, especially considering the price and hype. Definitely WAS NOT worth this whole mix up fiasco.

Sunset Beach showed up fine from light to dark. Ocean City's lightest part is a bit too light for me, but it's pigmentation was fine. I will try these on the face before decided whether to return them or not.

At this point, MAC can just send me the shipping label for the 2nd SB. I'm over it all and it doesn't seem very worth it after all is said and done.

Thanks for this. I'm skipping now. I was considering going early on Thursday, for Ocean City, but it isn't worth it for me. I need a blush to make me

for that price. I have too many great ones to be spending so much on ok ones. I'd rather save my $30 for a new Nars blush (Taos!), later in the summer.

@Pretty Honeybee and @KrystalAnne, you both look gorgeous! I hope MAC resolves the order issues for everyone else.

Yep. I checked the labeling on the box and it is correct. The problem was likely at the Distribution Center for MAC only.
