Im way behind on this thread but is it true that sunset beach is really a lot of work to build up???? Ts reviews are not always my opinion but if it is true i would like to hear your ladies opinions please?????? thanku ahead of time!!
It seems like for the most part, they are ok, but a few people have had pigmentation problems.

She uses a point system for all her reviews, so its not an arbitrary grade. It most have scored low on important categories.

This collection has been a fail all around for me, i only like Mangrove, which isn't all that unique either.
F is clearly nonsense, I have the pink blush ( Sunset Beach ) it certainly does not deserve F ! She keeps giving A to Guerlain products, if Guerlain products are good, some do not deserve a A or a A+....

Oh dear. So sorry to hear this, I would be so pissed. What the heck is really going on with MAC?!! Eta: did you even get an invoice, tissue paper, etc? Did your package arrive sealed?

Mine seems fine :) if I try to swatch with my fingers it takes a lot to build the color up. I don't apply blush with my fingers so there's no problem there lol. Using a blush brush I think the pigmentation is just fine, I actually have to blend it out quite a bit to make sure it's not too intense looking

My WR is wiggley too. Pink Fringe had a nick/slice into it. My first Mangrove & BU are  just fine.
Oh geez.. Yah, my Pinkfringe & Mangrove are perfectly intact.
Wow, that sucks. That should not happen at this price point. My Woodrose is fine. HOW can a big company like MAC screw up this bad? First the delay, then sending customers the wrong product, and to top it all off there seem to be quality issues with the blushes AND lipsticks. It seems like the overall quality is going downhill while they churn out more and more collections. I'd rather see just one collection every two months, but a well planned one where the quality is on point.
I agree.
Awwww, soooooop purty!! Can't wait to try pinkfringe on!  Very pretty! Both colors look awesome on you. The blush looks equally as great! Sofa King pretty!!  I am sorry this happened to you too. It does blow :(
Thank you so much! :)
:amused: Mine is very pigmented. I just grabbed a big ol fluffy MAC 136 & barely touched the blush & it was almost a bit too much blush so I had to blend it out. crazy
Mines too. No problem at all!

I played around with SB after my initial post blasting MAC. It's true! When I swatched using my fingers, I had to literally press hard to get some color. However, when I used my brush, too much product was transferred. So use your brush....

But, I want OC...not another pink blush.

Dior's Corail Bagatelle is looking pretty nice right now!

Allura gave B, I think it's more realistic !

it's a good blush, the texture is very nice too. I use a Kiko brush ( it's not a high end one at all ), it worked well for me.

Man I think people can be a bit harsh on T's reviews.
I truly believe they are her opinions. Also im wondering if there is a quality control issue, maybe some of them arent good. I look at her blog every day, sometimes twice. I just dont skip based on her opinion only anymore, i used to all the time. I personally do think her swatches are the best.

You just need to work with it a little bit. The first time I applied it a had a giant hot pink stripe on my face lol I think that the staying power will be really good though so I don't mind taking the time to get it on my face evenly
I always take time on my blush anyway. i tend to have a heavy hand and have to really concentrate not to overdo it lol. sometimes i get in my car and look in my mirror and im like wwwooooowww and have to get the studio fix powder out and tone it down hahaha. so that isnt a issue for me. i cannot resist a hot pink ombre blush

When I swatched the Sunset Beach that I received it hardly showed up and I had to really rub my fingers across it to get any color payoff. Late last night I decided to see how it applied and my brush picked up plenty of product. I almost ended up having too much blush on one side because I wasn't expecting it to show up so well.
Mine was kinda the same, I haven't applied it yet. But did on my little one who is ligher, so I'm curious.

True. But I did order SB & got OC lol, maybe they were messing orders up. My invoice & email were both correct, and the box matched the item. Just was the wrong one, atleast they are sending me the correct one. But Charlie, I hope they can fix your order. You deserve to get what you ordered & Be Happy! After all, you did pay for it.

i like allura's video reviews better because she let's you see what she sees. she talks through it and you get her honest opinion at the moment she's swatching it. Also if you don't agree with her opinion it's because you see it yourself.
