I know some gurus/famous people def. bring it on themselves and are worthy of criticism. But when I was last on GG I saw girls posting gurus home address, trying to contact people they went to school with on Facebook for some dirt, mocking the gurus for their weight, looks...how saggy their breasts were. That place just freaked me out. It was just damned if you do, damned if you don't. I think the less popular girls don't get it so much on that website, but the threads that were always buzzing for 'trashing' were just frightening. I do believe at some point they had some gurus considering lawsuits because there was so much security stuff flying around carelessly. (Google streetviews of houses and such).
Well that's just Psycho.

I get bored watching videos. i have watched a handful only. i dont understand how some ppl take bloggers word as they are Gods. I respect them and like to look at swatches or promo pics, but i def like to make my own opinions. but i do like the eye candy, swatches, seeing new campaign pics all that
I agree. Like in this case I think the blush is good, I liked how easy it blended and how It made me look. So I voiced my opinion. Specially because there's no way the product was that bad... And in that case: what do we do when we're not satisfied with a product? We call the company and complain right? I think the rating stuff is a lil biased since some products may perform different on different people It's like saying that a lipstick gets an A but someone out there doesn't do their lip routine (balm, exfoliate etc) and it's patchy on them. So now this blogger lied to me etc .. Nah girl your lips are patchy. Get some scrub. Etc.

Right. Like T., she doesn't like Lustre's because they dry her lips out(and i know some others too) but that's HER. They don't dry my lips out, in fact the opposite. So how is it ok for her to give a lower grade because of how SHE reacts to a product? I just find that kind of bizarre and unhelpful.

Have you seen the Michelle Phan Video Popping Everywhere?? i saw it on T and Others Blogs i read. Comments are Disabled.
Oh yes, I don't have cable so I have been seeing it multiple times when I watch my shows online. I have never watched her videos and probably never will after having to see that video so many times.

yeah i worked with some dancers that were put up on the dirty, and they werent my friends at all, but the things being said were seriously ratchet. jus beyond.
I just don't understand the concept of bashing anyone over the internet, it only makes the poster look like they have very little going on in their life if they are taking the time of day to publicly shame another.
That and those sites make me sick. I can see going on and making observations but some are borderline nuts!

MAC is definitely at a crossroads place not only because of this release chaos, but riri & all kinds of chaos & rudeness in the mix. But for this, Proenza & their lawyers are going to have the last say in what happens. :eek:hboy: I understand the frustration with MAC - I got NOTES!!!
I understand that about the legal. Plus who knows how much control MAC even has here? There is a contract with PS and they must abide by it. Plus is it them or Estée Lauder dealing with this? Does anyone know if the distribution center is even owned by MAC or Estée Lauder? My UPS tracking always just says Fulfillment center, and it's in Louisville, KY. I am SO glad that I am not one of their CS reps. Can you imagine the wrath they've been dealing with since this happened? I've waited tables, worked in retail, and technical support, so I know how mean people can be.

Exactly. You can't rate something based on your own opinion. It's a holier than thou attitude too, I know there's better more expensive brands but I can judge one thing and compare it to way more expensive or cheaper things. It's not fair. Give your opinion but don't rate. Cause a lot of people take those ratings to heart.

Well i had no idea who that lady was until the collection. I cant believe they didnt tell her what the collaboration was about, until the last minute. She could have said NO since she was asked first, i mean the question would've been Insulting. Why wait till about a week before the collection is out to say it was a Mockery of her Art?
She sounds like a Drama Queen to me.

Lol I don't understand the point of this website talk crap about people who have some recognition for doing what all of us women love doing? The only difference between them and us is that were review or recommending products within each other while they broadcast it but were gonna sit here and judge them because we don't know them and because they got stuff for free to review and they get paid for it and use that money to go get plastic surgery ? Who cares .. We are all women and we should all appreciate and love each other as corny as that sounds lol I just think it's ridiculous that there's a whole website devoted to such crap! Can't we all just be friends? Lol

My thoughts exactly. It's bad enough in retail. I can only imagine being a rep in the CS center.

I sheepishly must report that I got the right blush today (Ocean City)---thanks to Mac Canada. But I actually am feeling quite bad considering what so many of you are going through!

Exactly, when I first found her site and really started getting back into makeup, I really took her opinion/rating to heart, and I think I missed out on some products I probably would have liked. And I now have some products that she didn't rate well, that I personally really like!

Sites like Guru Gossip/The dirty should just be shut down, Sadly if they were more would pop up in its place.
I completely agree. It seems that more and more people are mean, negative, and rude, to put it mildly. And they think it's okay. If you have nothing better to do than write extremely mean things about someone you've never met, there is something wrong in your life.
