And to think we worry about something being safe for the waterline! And I guess I shouldn't think too much about the warning label on the UD Electric Palette!!
PS Is it wrong that I wonder what her poo must look like!? EEeeeeeeKKkkkkk!
LMAO!!
All I could think about is unicorn poop!

Since Mac is giving problems why doesn't everyone here swap for the blush they really want. Not sure how Mac gunna correct this foolishness but its worth a try
For me it's the timing and the existence of an issue. I would much rather wait and see if / how they will correct the problem before I trade in my blush! But it's a totally plausible idea.

So here's the update. They couldn't find me a blush in any Nordstrom near by. That's three stores. However the MUA there called Pro and was able to snag me the last OC they had. Nordie's did a simple returns and I did have to drive down to South Beach for OC but I didn't mind!! When I got there I read the name and asked the MUA to open it to make sure. I'm calling MAC in the morning to see if I can return SB and get a refund. Thank you to the lovely Specktrettes that offered me help with this situation. Confirming why I love it here so much.

yay!!! btw reading this you said 'south beach' and i read it as 'sunset beach.' i have read 'sunset beach' wayyy too many times in the last 48 hours! hahaha

I received my order today, wood rose, mangrove and OC. I'm really happy with everything. On me, lady danger layered over toying around is pretty much identical to mangrove, a little less matte. Still happy I bought Mangrove though, its so pretty. I hope everyone is able to get their orders fixed up, and get what they really want. So much anticipation then being let down sucks. I do have to say, Mac seems to be making larger quantities in these LE collections. On the Canadian site most items from the last few collections are still available.

Maybe this is faulty thinking...but if lots of people request a refund instead of waiting to see if MAC is going to send the correct blushes out, does that possibly mean they could have enough stock to send replacements?

I was thinking about getting a refund, but I will just be patient and let them figure out what they can do first.

RIGHT we're all over here like 'is this red pigment okay' and she's literally eating it.

even worse, she taste tests the the makeup in the store. she licks it and if it doesnt take 'good' to her (?!) she puts it back!!! she said 'i know its bad, but i want to buy something i will either like to eat or wear'
one of my dogs ate crayons once, and.... well pretty much that.
LOL! And we complain about people swatching products and putting them back on the shelves! Can you imagine... "Is this a licked eyeshadow trio? WTF" This woman is like the Evil Queen to makeup addicts! Don't eat that shit! And DEFINITELY don't let me see you licking it and putting it back! ESPECIALLY if it was LE! Oh the HORROR!

Out of sheer morbid curiosity, I decided to stop by Bloomingdale's since it was on my way home today. I was surprised to find they still had both blushes in stock. I asked one of the MAs and apparently they only got the shipment of the blushes late this afternoon, so no testers were even put out until then. Cue the dilemma: I know I was likely sent SB instead of the OC I ordered, but I hadn't been home yet to check my black box. So I called hubby and asked if he could check for me. He hadn't even realized UPS had come, but sure enough, my box was at the door, lol. He checked for me and (surprise surprise), MAC sent me SB instead of OC. So then I had a real internal struggle because I had just promised myself after this last order I placed with MAC that I want to be on a makeup no-buy until the end of summer (with just one exception). I asked dear hubsters what he thought, and he said that since getting OC would just be correcting MAC's error and since I plan on getting a refund for the SB they sent me (whether they want me to send it back or not, I really don't care), he said I should get it. So I feel a little guilty for getting it, but I think all will feel balanced again once I get my refund. Calling MAC first thing tomorrow about that. Looks like many of you have had luck with this so far, so here's hoping it's a quick and easy phone call.

Oh, and if anyone still needs, that counter still has a few left of each blush. PM me if you want the info. Pretty sure they'll ship it to you.

I just got notice that my order from Bloomingdale's was canceled for OC. I think it's a sign that I should put $30 towards another NARS blush.

ooh which hourglass powder(s) do you have? I need help choosing and i think we are skin twins or at least cousinz
I have Diffused Light and I'm a NW 13. I really like it, it's a great finishing powder and definitely brightens my skin. I love anything that add a pale glow to my skin. Which ones were you thinking? I also tried the luminous flush. It it did not come home with me. I hope this helps :)

Hi kids! Just popping in quickly.. it's wayyyy past my bedtime.

By now the whole world knows about the proenza gong show.. and it's not an easy pill to swallow on a corporate level.
One consolation: Remember, it's just makeup. Nothing more nothing less. Yes, it's important to us because we are addicts, but on a global scale, it's not.

I know MAC has had a lot of flap about this fiasco.. but for as much as we expect all our orders to go through flawlessly, they are all handled by someone behind the computer.. err, Humans! and, to err is human, to forgive is divine... and humans make mistakes. Whether it was at the distribution center, or at some plant.. it's still being investigated. But never fear, all will get their right orders, or their money back.

As to the quality of the blushes.. I don't like to get into these issues as we have been down the road before. I don't think the blushes are optimum quality -- they seem a bit lacking. But they certainly don't deserve to be trashed by any bloggers either. These opinions can hurt company image and are entirely personal. I don't agree with bloggers having this power of "rating" our products.. that should be our personal choice. They should be happy with the money they make off US.

with all this said.. I hope everyone enjoys their goodies!

big hugs to all..

HerGreyness.....soooooooooooooo nice to see you
