Nah, Nightshade is just as opaque as Phlox Garden. Did Miss Temptalia give you the idea it was sheer and you had to build it? It's not as dense as BI, which is super dense, but it's no less pigmented than PG - it's just that it has this sort of grey sheen in it, almost duochrome but not quite as much as It's Physical. It's stiffer and more opaque than It's Physical, without the sparkly bits, too. The texture's like Our Secret, but it's much purpler and grey than that one, which is very brownish. I suppose the sheen might make it seem like it needs to be layered, to accentuate the darker purple, but it's not sheer. You will see the darker under color without having to slather it on if you just turn your head under the light at a different angle.

We have the same hair and eye coloring, but my skin tone is much warmer than yours. NC15 here. I loved you in Riot House without the liner underneath, so you definitely can rock those oranges. I think Phos. is more unique than Pher. and that's why I'm choosing that one over Pher. but it was a tough decision!
Well, you may have just sold me on Phos. I'm definitely strongly considering it now.

Then you need to move up in the world to Tangerine Dream. I don't have anything more orange than that one, by a long shot.
I do have that one! Got it about a month ago and I love it! The yellow-leaning base does a good job of neutralizing my lips.

Phos. is warmer, more of a very bright orange pink. On me, Pheremonal is more of a red-leaning pink like Impassioned, but brighter. I was tempted by both, but Phos. looked a little better on me. It'll probably pull more orange on NWs.

You know what I've said about Copperthorn...

Nightshade is a color similar to Phlox Garden, but smokier, grayer and cooler - it's not matte like BI - most of a sheen in it. Looks great on green eyes for sure, but I'm not BU'ing it up.
Oh, you make it sound so good...I love Phlox Garden....I have PG and Dark Diversion so do I reeeeaally need Nightshade? LOL.

I got Phosphorescent, Pheromonal and MB l/s; BI f/l; HM, GR and BM e/s

If you can't try these in person, and you want to try a SS for the first time, you won't go wrong with Phos. or Pher. but I STILL think Lust Extract will look the best on you. On me it glows with a serious intensity - it's not straight up blue purple, but it glows with a cool toned effect - the way Dodgy Girl isn't really a cool lavender but looks cooler when it's applied. LE is like the mid-tone version of DG, more or less, maybe a little more pink, but not in a bad way. Like I said, tough to photograph. I don't buy this shade every single time it comes out from MAC (which is often) but I loved LE. Go back and take a look at my initial impressions - sorry I don't have a link for you.

I think these lipsticks are going to be very love it or leave it for people, so I really don't encourage buying them online without seeing them first, unless you have money to burn. they're not going to sell out so fast.

Yes she did! And now I am super excited because I love It's Physical! Well well looks like Nightshade is on my list again! Thank you! I regret not buying Our Secret!

*sigh* That's me and Riot House...I soo wanted to love it right out of the tube but it washes me out like nobodies business!! But I added Streak liner from UD(coralish color) and it was much better....hate that though, I don't want to have to add things to make something work, you know??

I sure do! It's a total bummer. Thankfully though I don't have many that make me cringe when I put them on straight from the tube. :haha:

Lust Extract is gorgeous, I agree. It's definitely a color I love to wear and is flattering on me. My only problem with it is that I feel like I've built up a huge collection of similar colors for that very reason.

Haha, thankfully neither do I. My skin tone is pretty neutral so I can wear most colors, BUT I am also very fair, so those light colors(nudes mostly and apparently light oranges) make me look plain weird....and not in a good way.
