Maybe Photo or Icon as far as the lipsticks go. Stony for the eyeshadows. Explicit for the lipglass (I skipped it though).
I am sure your intention was only to help and that if this was any other collection like riri, there would have been more people interested. It is more the fear of cancellations than having to leave stock for everyone imo. Moreover the collection has already launched though only for pros and you are not able to work with any other forthcoming collections. If the SKU was for Simpsons, I really expect a diff story and excitement from most! As long as one doesnt buy in bulk or from an yet to be launched collection, it should be fine. The riri collection could have been easily tracked based on the time of the order placement.Well, well, well.... after seeing how much of a controversy I started with my post, I decided to delete it. I know it still appears in quotes but unfortunately that's the best I think i can do. I for sure wasn't expecting that the information wouldn't be welcome or else I wouldn't have posted; my bad. Just wanted to share the information I learned and contribute in the way I could since without Specktra, I wouldn't have a clue about most of these collections myself. I'm really grateful for the people here who share their knowledge so I thought I would do the same. Obviously it wasn't the best of ideas.![]()
As for the chances of eBay resellers getting their paws on these links, it is my opinion that they probably are already well aware of those anyways. These links are apparently easy enough to find and it doesnt require much to get the logic behind it, just a bit of patience. Some of them most know, if not many, since almost every LE collection ever has always been sold out in a matter of minutes. For that reason I do not think it is unfair for members of this community to order through these links; if not us, somebody else will anyway, its not that difficult.
I wasnt aware of what happened with the RiRi collection, though. All this rerouting of packages and cancellations and red flagging is pretty messed up. It wasn't my intention to get my ass whipped my MAC, but if it happens so be it. I still don't think we should be accounted responsible for their own mistakes or lack of security, call it what you will. Isnt it MAC fault if those links are easily available for anybody to access? And they could very well cancel the order before sending a confirmation email, and before charging the account. I love MAC as much as anybody on this board, but I think they f*cked us up times enough already that we shouldn't feel bad about taking advantage of their leaks.
Still, I understand your point of views and apologize to those of you who wished this link (and the instructions as to how to) hadn't been posted. Just wanted to make it easy for those of you who were willing to have a shot at it. For those of you who took a chance and ordered, lets hope we don't end up on MAC black list![]()

I agree. I really don't think they are going to be paying much attention to this one, and I think sorting through the orders would be more trouble to MAC than it is worth. Like you said, with the RiRi collection, it was easy to figure out based on the time of the orders.I am sure your intention was only to help and that if this was any other collection like riri, there would have been more people interested. 1. Pink Cult 2. Stony 3. Artificial EarthWhat do you ladies think will be the first to go in this collection?

I think people's trepidation (myself included) stems mainly from fear of cancellations and package interceptions by MAC like what has happened in the past. You just never know what will slip by and what will get caught by them. I appreciate you going out of your way to help people out and offer them a way to get their orders in, it was very kind of you to do so and I think we all realize that the intention behind it was a good one.Well, well, well.... after seeing how much of a controversy I started with my post, I decided to delete it. I absolutely agree! It was a post done in good faith, and it's up to the individual whether or not he/she wants to buy. If MAC tightened up their security, they wouldn't have these issues of people buying pre-launch.I think people's trepidation (myself included) stems mainly from fear of cancellations and package interceptions by MAC like what has happened in the past. Those backdoor links and access to the development portion of their site are too easily available from a simple Google search and it almost makes me wary of having my billing info saved in my account because they obviously don't know how to keep people out of the non public portions of their site.![]()
This one will. I doubt it'll go super fastUgh, I really don't want to stalk tonight. So. Tired. I had a five hour long work meeting this morning for my new job, followed by a trip to the DMV and a trip to a medical office to get drug tested for my new job. I just now got home. Basically I'm saying I hope it sells slow like ANR.
Yup. I agree Dolly. This one will. I doubt it'll go super fast
Or, if they would just get adequate stock. The creating a hype by not making the amount of stock that could realistically be sold is past ridiculous. I love MAC and I am a pretty loyal customer because they do positive things via their AIDS fund and I do believe they are the best value for a dollar, but their marketing practices can be what I consider shady at times and I have a habit of not giving money to a company if I disagree with their principles. I mean I am as pro capitalism as a person can probably get, but there is a point of absurdity past which I just cannot go beyond.I think people's trepidation (myself included) stems mainly from fear of cancellations and package interceptions by MAC like what has happened in the past. I just got a tracking number from FEDEX, my package will be here tomorrow ! So your should be fine tooIt's okay! I appreciate it, and I took advantage of it. If something happens with my order, it will be my own fault, not yours. I used the link knowing full well that it's a bit risky.![]()
Awesome!I just got a tracking number from FEDEX, my package will be here tomorrow ! So your should be fine too![]()
That's exactly how I feel Marianne.yeah, I'm not worried about this collection at all. If by any chance I don't get the things I want, I will just wait for nordstrom. No big deal. The simpsons are a different story....
Wow. Good for Daphne. I'll keep you posted on my pending order. However, Naomi says they could intercept the package enroute.Awesome!ompom:
This! This is actually quite worrying . And thanks, I really wasn't looking for trouble and I'm glad that everything seems to go smoothly so far....
