Shitake is nice and weird and brown (lol) just like I like it recently. Only complaint being the finish, but hey. I find it really cool to wear a lipstick that was literally from the 90's. I keep forgetting the name of the eyeshadow I got, I think it was natural wilderness? Something like that...the darkest brown mustard olive shade. It is superb, a great apply all over the lid, blend into crease, winged liner and mascara look. I love earthy brown shades on my skin tone, so I'm really pleased. I love the green CCB but have absolutely no practical use for it

Edit: I had to look it up online. Apparently the summer that I remember, 2006, was unusually humid. It says climate change is changing the oceans which is slightly increasing the humidity there. Probably not this summer, though, with the drought.
The humidity and heat are the two biggest reasons I left VA/DC. I LOVE Oregon. Now if it would just start raining and get cool again... I'm over summer. It aggravates my migraines.
Just now saw this... yes, I have come to really HATE the heat and humidity. I'm over summer, too. I do like having the longer days, though. I could live with fall weather for 9 months of the year. Then one month of spring, one of summer, and one winter. Just for some variety.

I've been wearing the lip colors i got from this collection almost every other day, Shitake lipstick and Obviously Bare lipglass -- I already own Icon lipstick and Explicit lipglass. Now I'm thinking of getting Spite, because the newer creme lipglasses are very nice - opaque and nicely colored - and it looks like it will be a good color for me (i'll have to give it the sniff test, based on what Mandy said, tho). I'm also considering seeing if my local MAC still has De-Nude, because it has a golden quality that may or may not work... i wasn't convinced with it on my arm, but maybe on my blue-pink lips it'll be better.

I've been using Breaking Ground CCB as a highlight on my cheek bones and it works really well. I confess i have to figure out how to use Au Nature (the mustard-olive one), probably as a contour, although it would work better on someone with a warm or olive skin tone than on me. The SA seems to have forgotten to give me Shell (i wasn't charged) and i wanted it. So i have a couple reasons to go back to the store.

I still need to really use the eyeshadows... i've used them a little, but i need to do more with them. I've been concentrating on testing all the Electric Cool eyeshadows i got from Novel Romance - since some are *great* but a couple are duds (the purple turns an ugly red bruise color after a while). Once i get those e/s settled, i'll be working with all four e/s i got from this collection. I wear matte e/s mostly as contour, and i think these will work wonderfully. And Artificial Earth will be a great base color for me.
Crap! I got the purple Electric Cool and haven't worn it yet. I ordered Marsh tonight, since I actually don't have anything like it. Does Breaking Ground last long? I have oily skin and I worry that it would slide off of my face.
You will LOVE Marsh. It is different than any green I have and the finish is gorgeous.

Anyone else in love with Next To Skin?

YES! Perfect "invisible" contour on me (I am NC15 or so right now). I paired Marsh today with Sumptuous Olive, Phloof!, and Kid and I am in love. Its a neutral look with a bit of frost to give it pizazz. For shits and giggles, I tried it in the crease. If you do Marsh all in the lid and then just do a swipe of SO in the very middle of the "ball" of the eye on the lid, it really makes it pop.

Well thanks to you ladies, I ordered Next to Skin last night. I didn't really want to skip this collection anyway ;)

I complained about it and they are sending me a new Spite. I should be getting it by tomorrow and I'll be sure to let you know if it's better!

I was rearranging my lip drawer and came across my razzledazzler gloss and it smells awful! Since day one! I even recycled for a new ine to replace it and the same exact thing! I need to get some food-grade oils to put in there to help with it or something so that i can wear it.

I've been lucky so far. Haven't run across any bad smelling one but in all fairness I don't buy them as much as I used to. I did check ally glosses last night though just to be sure and they all smell fine. As sensitive as my nose is I would definitely notice something that reeked quickly. My problem is that I haven't really been a gloss girl in so long...so they often just sit in a drawer after being swatched or worn once.

The purple doesn't change on most people, as far as I can tell. But I recommend testing it before your 30 days are up. It was beautiful if I laid it on thickly, but that's not how I want to use it. I almost cried when I returned it. I can't help you about Breaking Ground because i don't have oily skin. I do use a fairly complex routine of skin care to moisturize and protect my dry skin and it seems to last for many hours without moving or fading on me.

I just ordered Taupe and Pink Cult off Nordstrom (a Lingering Kiss bu and Good Kisser hopped into my cart as well lol). Excited to get them, I'm hoping to use Taupe as a contour I'll have to see how it looks. I swatched it in store last week and liked it.
