Also Garconne (no. 25), Gigi (68), Girly (71) and the most recent colours like Geneva, Gladys, Geraldine are very nice too. Geneva is a nice coral, if you don't fancy reds or pinks. The case is really nice and luxurious, but be warned, it is very heavy. I currently have 2 of them in my handbag and I can definitely feel it, lol.

Many of the original shades like Gil (40), Giuliana (42), Gaela (61), Giulette (63), and several others were quietly discontinued over the years. :( The only way you can find some of the discontinued shades is either online or to check if some stores still have them available despite not having testers of discontinued shades. I don't know why they discontinued Giulette and Gil because they were awesome colors.

My recommendation would be to start with a color that you usually wear and can be universal with your wardrobe. If price is a big factor for you, then the Estes Lauder lipsticks are less pricy than Guerlain Rouge G's. If pigmentation is a strong factor, then I'd say to try both options personally and whither you like best will be the lucky one. :) Guerlain usually segments lipstick colors (at least the rouge and shine automatiques) by red, pink, orange, and neutral. However, it's best to try them in store rather than rely too much on swatch/reviews online because some colors can be either a little more muted, bright, opaque, shimmery, or darker irl compared to a flash picture. The Rouge G's can either be opaque like Garconne (25), Rose Grenat (864) and Gigolo (70) or sheer like Rose Glace (866), Bianca, and Beatrix. My favorites are from the pink and coral side like Georgia (62), Geraldine (77), Gemma (64), Geneva (48), and Gracy (76). I find the formula comfortable, pigmented (depends on the shade), and non drying. There's an upcoming Rouge G from the holiday collection that's completely red. :) Anyways, good luck on your decision and happy hauling! :)

I *think* I'll try Geneva, though I tried one of the EL Envies and really liked it. But right now I've set my mind to own one of the Guerlains - I really like the hefty feeling of the packaging. I also saw Gladys today on a blogpost by Drivel about frivol and it looks absolutely amazing: http://drivelaboutfrivol.blogspot.de/2014/09/femme-boulevard-simple-and-seasonal.html

I think most of the users complain it is scratchy and not a great quality. I know I've read many bad reviews about it so I never bought it.

I really love those fluffy Guerlain puffs and I'm also eyeing the Chanel kabuki brush. I also like the idea of a mini kabuki that can fit in the Meteorites container itself :/ However I have no experience with the pearls and am still looking into what will work for it. I'm grateful for input :)

I do not think kabuki would work well for pearls. It's better to have fluffy brush not something dense as a kabuki

Thank you! I had a feeling that would be the case. I'd like something small but it may not be realistic. Perhaps I should just use something like (if I am able to get the new Météorites) my Real Techniques powder brush.
