What did you not like about Dubonnet?  Was it the amplified creme finish or the amount of brown in it?

It was that amplified creme finish, I was not feeling it at all. It was among the first 3 lipsticks I ever bought period (Girl About Town and Ravishing) and I didn't know anything about finishes or that I'd eventually prefer mattes and satins only.

Just googled it! I love it!!!!!!!! I like RR more that RW! I might just get both! What do you think about 'sparks of romance' from the heirloom collection? Was not able to goto the MAC counter today, migraine is too strong today :crybaby:

Sparks of Romance looked beautiful but I did end up skipping it. The finish just wasn't what I wasn't hoping for it to be. I don't think you could go wrong with Russian Red. The color is just so rich.

I just love her! I also wish she showed the lipstick swatches more. I think Cardinal still looks good. Now I like that paint pot, the darker one. And Blue Peep is still nice looking.

Funny how we all have our own preferences, i feel the most comfortable in reds and the most uncomfortable in nudes. I think Lady Bug is a good option if you're somewhere in the middle .

I'm more comfortable in reds too. :frenz:

Indeed. My first red was Dubonnet. I ended up giving it away and bought Ruby Woo soon after.

I still don't have Dubonnet, I think the finish throws me off. I prefer my reds, Matte!

VG I is one of my fave reds!

My first MAC red was Charmed I'm Sure. So sad I wasn't able to get Deeply Adored in the first launch, but I was able to get it the 2nd launch a year later. Deeply Adored is my HG red of all time.

If you have the chance to try it on, it looks amazing on our skin/foundation shade. NC 30-35.

I dont have VG 1 just VG3 Im nc 30 35 too.

At least try VG I. It's a great brick red that works on everyone. Not too dark. Not too bright. Great with Brick liner. Works all year round too.
