it must be, because the mac rep I spoke with YESTERDAY said she would take care of my return shipping since the product was defective...i don't think she got the memo

I had the return label and the printed online receipt that came with the box as well as my item in the box. It was that Toledo mascara. I got sucked in by the wand but the mascara ended up sucking. I guess my lashes are too short and sparse for it. Anyway they gave me my refund.  I have a heavier outer lid and my eyes are sorta uneven. One is more hooded than the other so I barely even try anymore. But I bought some of those Sephora velvet liner stickers and I used them as a stencil. It worked out great but it took too long so I'll only use it when I have time.
understandable ;)

I know how you feel, when we really want something, we want it ASAP! lol. You'll get it very soon, I'm sure. Shopping for MAC in Nordies is better in my opinion because of ebates, their point system and their return policy. I dislike the fact that if you order from mac online and are displeased with your purchase, you can't return it in store, and have to deal with shipping costs and waiting for them to process your return. Nordies shipping is always free, even return shipping. Sure Mac's shipping is quicker, but you'll get your product nonetheless. I don't mind the wait, it's worth it when shopping with Nordstrom. I'm excited to get my new babies, but I'll just play with what I have in the meantime

I didn't know you couldn't do returns in store either! :( I ordered Royal Wink from PT on an impulse thinking that if I came to my senses before I received it (which I did) that I could just return it. Now knowing that it isn't very opaque and that I won't get much use out of it anyway I was gonna try to exchange it for a lipstick. Boo.

yea, it is very disappointing. They could easily change this policy..

She helped me with something and I was waiting on her to ring me and she told me no it's fine someone else can do it. I told her that I want her to get commission when she explained she doesn't get any but she needs to make her goals.
:peace: Got it.

I do not think you can order online on mac.com and then go to store to return/exchange

The only time I order online with them is a le launch, otherwise I just go in store. Then I never return le items for that reason, they're lele and usually sold out and highly coveted by the time I get it. I've been lucky so far in that I've liked the le's I've ordered though.

You absolutely can return for free for MAC.com.....Maybe it's a new thing, though, because I received this in my email: So boo for hassle of needing to go through mail, but at least you're not stuck with product you don't want or having to pay for return shipping.  Really excited to hear you like MM....mine arrives today!!  I also got Puttin' on the Spritz. BTW-Hi!!!  New to MAC, new to Specktra, and have been lurking through the last few days before launch.  I got a way too big haul, but as a newbie, I didn't have almost anything.
Welcome to Specktra

Alpha Girl is a lot more matte than I was hoping, I think it will works best on me as a blush when I'm not too tan, won't be dark enough this summer and I think it will even look chalky. I can't wait to try the lipsticks and the fluidlines tomorrow!

Is this true for MAC stores and MAC counters in department stores?

I have often wondered the situation but can not figure out a polite way to ask. I have had a SA spend a lot of time with me and then come back and they aren't there to ring up the purchases. If they don't get commission I can stop stressing about it.

Thank you.
I've flat out asked because sometimes a SA helps me and puts my stuff at the counter while I continue to browse so when I go to purchase it's another SA at the cash. A couple times I have asked at the register if they need to know who helped me because I have legitimately forgotten if they made commission and they've told me that they do not.

That difference makes sense. She is expected to show job performance through sales but is not financially rewarded for it on her paycheque.

LOL! I was SOOO tired tonight... but somehow I've got energy to be here looking through swatches for my order. lol.
Lol! I was doing the same thing. I was so tired I started dozing off while I was singing my daughters bedtime lullabies, but somehow I was able to stay up until 1am looking at swatches. I was able to get my order though!

Hearing this makes me really glad I kept PB in my cart...I got both and am now a little concerned about alpha girl. I'm fair, though, so hopefully it shouldn't be too chalky.

Thank you!!!  You're from London??  One of my favorite cities!  In an alternate reality where I'm fabulously wealthy, I have a flat there...sigh...I'll have to settle for visits, and that probably not for years...
Yep, sadly I'm not a Bow Belle or an eastender (but living in East London). Born and bred South of the River
