Soooo, I started playing with some of my goodies today. Well, LG. When I highlighted my face I totally forgot about Pearl Blossom. LOL! Product over load! Like I said earlier, LG was a tiny bit of a pain to apply. Until I found the right brush! Bobbi Brown's Ultra Fine liner brush applied it like a dream. I love this brush for gel eyeliners. I highly recommend it. I just really need to learn how to make a wing with it. I always need to resort to thin, stiff, angled brushes for that part. I picked up the MAC 263 with this collection because I realized I never had it! I'm not sure if I like it. It's a little flimsy. I'll try it with another gel liner to see how I like it.

I was able to pick up Oxblood in a Nordies re-stock last week, and that's what I'm wearing on the lips. My shadow is from the Cinderella palette. I've worn it every day this week! So versatile. :) Blush is Osbourne Cheeky Bugger.

Sorry for the awkwardly close and weirdly tilted head selfie.

The sun was quickly setting and it was hard to capture the beauty of the burgundy color of LG! Anyway, I really, really love it. I'm glad I got it over Our Secret. It's completely unique to my collection. I never thought I'd be able to pull off a burgundy type of liner!

I really can't deal with how cute you are. Like for real. And that's Oxblood?! WTF, looks totally different on me! You look lovely!!! I know about product overload, it's literally a nightmare in the mornings with me dealing with a 2yr old daughter who thinks she's 20 AND trying to decide on what highlighter, blush and lipstick I'll be wearing!! Then I get pissed when I forgot that I wanted to use something else. Hahaha. I often bring two shades of lipstick to change throughout the day. Please say I'm not the only one.

Black box today. I LOVE Notice Me and IGNK is pretty but I couldn't get IGNK to show up in the pics. I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about Call The Hairdresser. I haven't tried my I y fluidline yet. Any suggestions for a lipliner for CTH? Sorry for the horrible lighting Notice Me w/o liner

Hey now! Gym SHoes and Jordans are important! ;-) LOL
Maybe if he had somewhere to wear them, but the only time he dresses nice is when he goes to his sons basketball games. I only ever see him wear dirty work clothes and clumpy work boots. He has a concrete company so he's always dirty. He should just give up a pair of shoes each month so I can have another haul. Haha

You sound just like me!!! I usually find something to watch on Netflix to watch while I clean my babies! What do you use to clean your brushes?
I put some baby shampoo in a cup with some warm water and swirl my brushes in it. I only do a couple at a time because some of them are packed with fix+, cream shadow, cream blush. I don't want to feel like I'm chasing my tail by dirtying a brush with another one. How do you clean yours?

I just came back from checking this collection out in person. Did really well, if I do say so myself :D Lipsticks were a skip. I swatched CTH and Diva-ish to satisfy my curiosity but neither of them caught my eye. Pearl Blossom was a surprise beauty. If it weren't for you ladies in the thread I would have completely glossed over it. It swatches beautiful and has a lovely sheen with no overt shimmer. I still passed because I knew I probably wouldn't use it often enough to warrant buying, but it's one of the nicest products in the collection IMO. The fluidlines were the reason I wanted to go in-store. Had a little swatch party. My personal faves were Looking Good, Lowlights, Midnight Snack, Siahi, and Shade. Brassy was also nice but I'm not a huge fan of yellow golds... My haul (plus some comparisons):
2ad34dac_image.jpeg
Looking Good - Idyllic Paint Pot (2 layers ea.) Not dupes like I thought, which makes me happy! New Siahi - Original Siahi (3 layers ea.) My counter either didn't get or sold out of Blue Peep and I Get No Kick. There were no testers to be found. Barring those two, I'm done with MiB! :cheer:

@erine1881  what are your thoughts on 267 brush ?
I think it's stupid and gimmicky.
I see the brushes are still unavailable. Thinking of @erine1881 :/
:haha: still waiting :sigh:
Could someone please make a decision for me? The three brushes are LE right? Should I get the 267 even though I don't know what it's for just in case it turns out it's useful? I mean, brushes don't go bad if you keep them clean and dry. Should it be in my cart? Or is it okay to just buy the other two?
The brushes are perm.

Yeah, shampoo doesn't disinfect... Brush cleanser, antibacterial soap, Dr. bronners...those all disinfect. Shampoo doesn't.

Yeah, I'm definitely not seeing a "mauve nude" for Real Redhead from any of these swatches. For those of you who have it would you say it pulls more cool pink or warm (light) coral?

You're welcome hun  I definitely will update you all on my thoughts! Have you ever purchased brushes from the art store? My favorite eyeliner brush was bought from Michael's Art Supply store! It cost me 6.99 lol
Haha! I was just wondering if I was the only one who uses some paint brushes for my make up! I got a few brushes from Utrecht that are just like MACs 217 and the 224. I check there before buying an expensive brush.

Getting tired of waiting for these brushes to come online so I called my store and they said they have them. Leaving work now to go check for myself. While I'm there I'll swatch the items still sitting in my cart: MMG, Diva-ish, Silverstroke, and IGNK.

I also have a 2 year old "boss". She usually just takes off with one of my brushes and uses it on herself. I can't even tell you how many times I thought she took a clean brush only to find her with dark shadow streaked across her face. Haha. And as for the lipsticks, I just took about 7 lipsticks, 2 liners and 2 glosses out of my purse yesterday.

I'm surprised that I like the lipsticks as much as I do after reading reviews. I think I need to check out some more I store.

I used to use MAC's brush cleanser then switched to elf's brush shampoo for a deep cleanse and their daily cleanser for in between. Make sure not to immerse your brushes too deep, that causes handles to unstick and fall off. I just wash the fibers/brush then lay the brush flat hanging off the edge of a table, counter.

Shit...it's a good thing I just started doing that recently. Still sucks though because now I have to go buy some brush cleaner and spend another hour cleaning my brushes. *facepalm*

I have an old Bare Minerals brush that I dedicate to her and pretend like it's a "good" brush. This morning she was fighting me for the mirror, "MOMMY MY TURRRNNNN!", me: "Can we share??" Omg she makes me cry! I just bought her a Dr. Pepper Lip Smacker, her "lipsiss". Now it makes me nauseous when I initially loved it (love Dr. Pepper btw). Lol re the lipsticks, I took out 4 liners and 2 lipsticks this morning. I keep some neutrals in there at all times, Lovechild l/g, VGR2 lipstick and new to the mix is Oxblood l/g.

Diva-ish. Pardon the stringy hair. I think the reason I'm so happy with it is that I already have similar shades that I like. Oh well, at least it'll get used. :)
