MAC MAC Is Beauty Collection (March 30 / April 2, 2015)

Diva-ish. Pardon the stringy hair. I think the reason I'm so happy with it is that I already have similar shades that I like. Oh well, at least it'll get used.

Soooo, I started playing with some of my goodies today. Well, LG. When I highlighted my face I totally forgot about Pearl Blossom. LOL! Product over load! Like I said earlier, LG was a tiny bit of a pain to apply. Until I found the right brush! Bobbi Brown's Ultra Fine liner brush applied it like a dream. I love this brush for gel eyeliners. I highly recommend it. I just really need to learn how to make a wing with it. I always need to resort to thin, stiff, angled brushes for that part. I picked up the MAC 263 with this collection because I realized I never had it! I'm not sure if I like it. It's a little flimsy. I'll try it with another gel liner to see how I like it.  I was able to pick up Oxblood in a Nordies re-stock last week, and that's what I'm wearing on the lips. My shadow is from the Cinderella palette. I've worn it every day this week! So versatile. Blush is Osbourne Cheeky Bugger.  Sorry for the awkwardly close and weirdly tilted head selfie. :lol:  The sun was quickly setting and it was hard to capture the beauty of the burgundy color of LG! Anyway, I really, really love it. I'm glad I got it over Our Secret. It's completely unique to my collection. I never thought I'd be able to pull off a burgundy type of liner! 

Black box today. I LOVE Notice Me and IGNK is pretty but I couldn't get IGNK to show up in the pics. I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about Call The Hairdresser. I haven't tried my I y fluidline yet. Any suggestions for a lipliner for CTH? Sorry for the horrible lighting Notice Me w/o liner

That's hilarious...preening went on perfectly...I'd snag it, but green on green can be tricky. If I see some pretty looks with WF, I may give it another shot.

I wore Preening today and it was so beautiful on, very pigmented and buttery! WF is also very pigmented.

[COLOR=CC99FF]Crap...MAC forgot to send my Preening.  Though I keep seeing swatches where it looks almost white...I really hope it looks green on me or else that is just a waste of money.  I swatched Wow Factor and went to buy 3 backups...it is the perfect lavender I've been waiting for.[/COLOR]

Preening doesn't show up super white on me, which I was afraid of, it is a true mint shade. I think you'd be very happy with it Wow factor is just :eyelove: enjoy your haul

Think I'm going to pass on the curved liner brush. Think I'll invest in the 263 instead. Curved one being big is a no no for my eyes. Omg love your hair! I've been wanting to do something like that but didn't think my dark hair would take. Did you do it or get it professionally done? And Real Doll looks great on you!

Thank you!!! I did it myself this morning actually a lot of people are scared to try color because of the bleaching but I say life is for the living! I just try to condition it as much as possible since my hair is very dark and I don't want to damage it

Doubt it, but who knows? Seeing it in that pic earlier made me want it...would have never guessed the color looked like that on.

It is nice. I got the lipglass on a MAC restock a couple weeks ago and I think I like it more.

You're welcome hun! :wink: Yay! And you can wash your car, dogs, fruits & veggies, hair, body, EVERYTHING WITH IT! It's amazing!!! I tried the peppermint one at first, but in a citrus girl I'm obsessed with The Body Shops Satsuma hand sanitizer and body wash! WHY!?!?!?

Omg, Satsuma! Exactly what I was thinking of when I said that. Have the body polish in the tub nownow, a body butter. I'm a BS fanatic! I use their whole Vitamin E line on my face! Nutriganics eye cream. Kill the body butters (whole fam).

Maybe it's because I don't have a ton of amps or maybe it's because I've been reaching for my mattes a lot lately, but I was pleasantly surprised with how comfy Diva-ish was. It leaves a nice stain and doesn't dry my lips out. I'm so happy most of the lipsticks in this collection were sheer because those are so much easier for me to skip! eta: I just noticed that Mac divides Amplified and Amplified Creme. Makes me wanna play around with my collection and see if there's a difference. 

Nice. I thought so too re lustres until I swatched a few... Call the Hairdresser, Highlights I like and now I need to check out Real Redhead.

Like usual, the day after a big MAC launch, you can now order the collection online @Macy's to pick up in store. FYI. My closest Macy's are out of Looking Good! Edit: I think my closest Macy's just aren't doing store pick up for this because everything I check in the collection isn't available for pick up there but they are at the same other locations. They can't be sold out of all that stuff already. So call first and don't use that to check on stock at your closest Macy's before going in. Just a tip.

I absolutely love both of them on you! But Notice Me is extra beautiful on you!

I put some baby shampoo in a cup with some warm water and swirl my brushes in it. I only do a couple at a time because some of them are packed with fix+, cream shadow, cream blush. I don't want to feel like I'm chasing my tail by dirtying a brush with another one. How do you clean yours?

I use pet shampoo! The cleansing formula is gentle on my brushes and it also has antibacterial properties in it! Most of my brushes are goat hair, so I figured, "why not wash it with soap made for an animals hair?!"....Have you tired that silicone mat that sigma makes? I need to get one of those!

Haha! I was just wondering if I was the only one who uses some paint brushes for my make up! I got a few brushes from Utrecht that are just like MACs 217 and the 224. I check there before buying an expensive brush.

I have found GEMS in the art store!!! I'm there more than the MAC counter!!! I go daily :shock: They know me by name now lol. I'm headed there right now actually!

...the jury is still out on this 267 brush...it's too wide to comfortably pick up product in the fluidline pot...i mean it fits, it's just awkward because it's huge! Maybe I will find another use for it if I can't get it to work the way I had hoped. I don't know yet...Im reserving my thoughts until further notice...

LOL I know right. I have to look at my order list. (Isn't that horrible) I already have Reel Sexy and Silly. I got Make Me gorgeous, call the hairdresser, and Divaish. I haven't tried any on yet. I was interested in Real Red head.

i didn't get diva-ish and now i'm wondering if i should. i think i might end up getting that, plus shade and blitz and glitz. but b&g is perm, right? so maybe i could wait for that one....

I face paint as well! Mostly for children's events. Little people are the best "makeup" clients! I'm at Michael's looking at brushes right now, lol

I dont wanna waste product by putting it on the back of my hand and I have my beauty blender for under eye concealer...hmmmm, I'm going to figure out how the 267 would like to be used. I've only given her one chance, she deserves more ...i couldn't return her, even if I don't reach for her often, I'm a brush hoarder!!! When I go back to Mexico, I'll take a pic of my collection. Youre going to FLIP OUT! :shock:
