Aww! You guys have cute stories!

I met mine in senior year of high school he actually sat two seats in front of me but I never noticed because my friend from elementary school was one seat in front. LoL. This other guy I knew fromt 10th grade asked me out to lunch and he was there and that's when it clicked that this one was that one from gov/econ (I'm kinda slow lol). We actually didn't start going out until a year later and he was the kind of guy that I thought I would NEVER be interested in, and now look at us! We've been together for a year now and I don't think I could be happier LoL.

Yay I love all the cute stories! Thank you for sharing.

I met my now fiance (yay!) in high school. Secone semester my Junior year he was transfered into my Computer Science class which I majorly sucked at. I sat next to him and when the teacher wasn't looking he would lean over and finish my programs. He was a bit of a nerd =)

I was seeing someone else at the time- we had been going out for like two months. One day my current SO asked me for my screen name and I was iffy about giving it to him, but I did. We started talking 8 to even 16 hours a day on the phone and/or AIM. I was talking to him more than my current BF. But my BF was great nice guy I just didn't have feelings for him.

One night on AIM we said are usual "good night, love ya" to each other then I put my "sleeping" away message and he put his. Then in the morning when I checked my AIM msgs I noticed one from him maybe 3 minutes after we had said good night and it said "I love you.. I really do".

I broke up with my at-the-time boyfriend a few weeks later to be fair. Then 2-3 months later my current SO and I went out to the movies to see the first Bourne movie with mutual friends and he got popcorn and well buttery hands = gross. So I gave him a napkin in his hand and I kind of lingered and he grabbed it through the napkin (talk about shy).

We've been together pretty much ever since- 5 years and living together engaged.

Let's see. I started talking to some guy on myspace (we'll call him guy #1), hung out with him a couple of times, wasn't really interested but had phone conversations (about nothing) every once in awhile.

Another guy (#2) started talking to me on myspace, and said he knew guy #1. me and THIS guy had a lot of conversations on myspace, then began talking on the phone for hours and just getting to know eachother. He never pressured me into talking about certain subjects, he was always respectful, he complimented me in a decent way, and he could hold a good conversation....every night. which was different from every guy I've ever talked to. So we met up one day, hung out. hung out occasionally after that...talked on the phone constantly and within a few weeks of meeting we made it official.

we moved pretty fast but it felt like we knew eachother for years...there was never really any anxiety, or shyness, it was like instant chemistry.

He messaged me randomly on Yahoo and we just hit it off right away because we had so much in common. So it may not be a romantic or odd meeting, but hey, works for me if it has led me to my future husband.

I'm always so amazed at how online relationships end up working! I remember when "dating" online was for "geeks"- but it such a great easy way to get really get to know someone. Great stories, guys!

My DH was roommates with my high school boyfriend when they were at the Naval Academy. I moved up to Md to be near my HS BF who dumped me a month later. I started dating my DH about 8 months later. That was 8 and a 1/2 years and three kids ago!

I met my boyfriend on the net. He sent me a random message one day and we talked almost every day for over 2 years before meeting. That was years ago and we're still together.

I met DH through his cousin. I had just gotten divorced (separated for almost 2 years) and was not looking for anything at all. I went to DH's cousin's New Years eve party like I had done the year before, only this time I was sick as a dog (I have to admit, I looked good that night..but had no voice at all!) DH was there, and I didn't like him!!! He was hounding me all night, and I was trying really hard to get rid of him! At around 4 am, I discover that one of my guy friends had taken my car keys by mistake. He was at another party and wasn't coming back until around 6 am...so I was stuck at this party for another 2 hours! I actually sat down and started talking to DH and discovered he really wasn't a bad guy after all. We both had kids from our previous marriage (he had 2 daughters and I had my son). They were around the same age, so we arranged a playdate for the next day.

That was 15 years ago...we had our son 11 years ago...

I met my guy in choir in high school... So I tease him about being my choir boy. Oddly enough the guys who were in choir at the same time became some of my best friends.

I enjoy reading all your stories. Thanks for sharing ladies.

Now it's my turn....

Well, This one day while my auntie Nancy was driving on the freeway she notice this guy trying to get her attention. So she pulled over and they both exchange names and number. His name is Damian BTW. Anywho, Two day's later they both met up and ended up hanging out at Damian's place. Damian introduce Nancy to his roomate Johnny. Johnny ask Nancy if she had any single friends and I popped into her head. She called me right away and drove 1 hour to pick me up with Damian. When we all got back to Damian's house. He introduce me to Johnny and right off the bat he did NOT spark my interest. We proceeded to hang around and a few of their friends came over, chilled and had a few drinks. The night was finally over and me and Nancy went home. I ended up staying at Nancy's house. My auntie and Damian began hanging out everyday and i had nothing better to do so i started to tagg along and of course we kicked it with his roomate Johnny. Okay.. to make story short... Me and Johnny ended up hanging out. Feelings started and things began to progress. We started hangin out every single day and it came to a point where i never went home. Since then, we been living with eachother for 6 1/2 years, In Love and have 3 beautiful kids.

The END!!

I play a game, that has it's own chatrooms and I met him in there. We immediately hit it off and started talking after that, after one year of talking online, we decided that he'd come visit.

I remember how incredibly nervous I was when I was going to meet him for the first time, first of I ended up waiting for him 5 hours at the airport, because he had missed his layover.
I remember hating haha, I thougt he had stood me up, and was just about to write a really long, hateful mail to him when I see him log on to msn, him panicking and asking where I am.

I immediately rush back and all that time waiting was forgotten as soon as I saw him... I was incredibly shy and didn't say a thing, and he just wouldn't shut up lol So it worked out.

I remember on the bus from the airport, as shy as usual, I leaned my head on his shoulder and pretended to fall asleep, so I wouldn't have to talk to him ^^; and then, when he kissed my forhead as he thought I was asleep , I knew I wanted to be with him. Silly, maybe.

Our situation is unique, we have an online, distance relationship. And we've been togheter for 2 and a half years, of which I've been with him, in person, a total of 7 weeks.
But I know that when the day finally comes when I can be with him, the wait will have been worth it.

I don't think having a on-line distance relationship is that crazy anymore.

I met the guy I'm dateing right now on-line. How we met? He made a comment regarding a choice of mine, which of course turned into like a several hour debate over chat, going back n fourth lol.

Yeh... I met my current boyfriend because i was arguing with him =p Suprise suprise LOL!

Anyways... We started talking a lot, but I wasn't really thinking much of it because well, it was on-line right? Whatever. But I dunno, somehow he got me, even though I told him a million times I don't do on-line long distance relationships. Turns out, he lives like 10 minutes from where I do when he's not up at college. I think that made it more real to me, the fact he would be around if we just lasted long enough.

So we talked like 24-7 on AiM and over the phone for like 5 months while he was up at school. And he's been down here in LA all summer. Which has been nice. He leaves tomorrow

I won't see him till November, unless he drives/flies down to visit, were still working that out.

But yeh... As of tomorrow, i'll be back in a long distance relationship, and stuck useing AiM, and the telephone. It hasn't been easy, I will say that. I've told him I'm breaking up with him soooo many times, when we've been apart, but somehow he always gets me to stay. He told me he loved me when I was trying to break up with him, and I told him that he, "Didn't know what love was." He responded with, "I know how I feel, and if that's not love, I don't want love, I want you." Which was like the single most amazing line a guy has ever given me (i bet it's from some movie or something LOL).

But yeh... Were taking things day by day. Will he be the one? I'm not sure. But overall it's been a good ride. I've spent more time talking to him, than anyone I've ever been with in the past. I do feel like I know him, and hopefully once he's finished with school, we can start something thats even better than what we have now.
