Good girl!! lol They do, don't they! Even their old formula was amazing. Based on what I read on IG from TS&BD's page, the only Sephoras that will be getting Black|Up in store are: Lenox Square Mall (ATL) Perimeter Mall (ATL) Cumberland Mall (ATL) Jackson, Lakeside Mall (Louisiana) Mall at Millenia (Orlando) Towson, MD Chestnut St (Philadelphia) Brooklyn Heights (NY) Culver City (CA) I think this is a stupid move but clearly they are putting them in malls with a certain demographic. Like other people wouldn't be interested in their bomb products *smh* Clearly, this was a radio station for husbands. Cause you know, the hubsters can't know more than $23 is spent a month! lol
These are all pilot stores to test how well the new brands do.

Yeah, I know. But wouldn't it be a good market test to put them in less perceived "black" areas as well to see if they do better in a more densely populated black/brown area compared to a less dense area? I don't know. I'm just thinking their products would be attractive to all makeup lovers even if the foundation shades are limited right now. I feel like they are excluding willing purchasers who will now only associate the brand as the "black makeup brand".

I agree! But I am also expecting that I won't be able to wear a majority of the complexion products from this brand (115 I'm mufe HD) but I'm very excited about what that brand offers shade range wise and product wise. The contour sticks are one of the products I'm really excited to play with. Hopefully it does well enough to expand to more stores, believe it will from what I've seen /heard about it. I work at lakeside so we are one of the stores getting the line. I'll post swatches of products when we get it in.

Hopefully, once they do start to roll in, they'll do well. I really hope they do expand because they have quality products. Look forward to hearing how you like them when you get to play :)

I'm too self-conscious about my hands. My nails aren't perfect like yours, Ernie.

Finally! This coupled with us (Temple) finally kicking Penn State's ass makes me miss ol Philly. They even have a super Walgreens now..like, where was this a few years ago when I was still there!
These Penn Staters are SICK, do you hear me??? I find the entire thing amusing because I don't have skin in the game. Meanwhile, Temple alum are carrying on like they won the Super Bowl. Hilarious.

I find that hard to believe too----what were they using for makeup Crayon, Crayolas?
Maybe they're buying wet n' wild. Their stuff is like 99 cents. Hell, if you give me makeup at that price I'd still end up spending at least $50. :haha:

Lucky me. I work near Perimeter and drive past Cumberland everyday.
Not Sephora related, but is anyone indulging in Ultas 21 days of beauty? I already ordered a Juice Beauty kit for $25 and I'm going to order two Stila smudge sticks Thursday.
I bought the Vegas Nay palette and got a free mini lipstick and makeupbag yesterday.

I know! I'm thinking of getting 03 in the Sublime Powder as well. Danielle from TS&BD uses 04 and she's around NW47. By gold blush, do you mean the 08 one? I didn't like it in Danielle's swatches. It was a strange shade of gold. I like white a lot of the others though (01, 02, 04, 05, 06, 07, 10 (or 11)). I'll see if I can pop by the counter at lunch and swatch 'em. ETA: two of TS&BD links: http://www.thestyleandbeautydoctor.com/2013/11/black-up-new-blush-swatches-and-review/ http://www.thestyleandbeautydoctor.com/2013/11/black-up-new-blush-swatches-and-review-2/
Finally!! Thanks Shars!!
Is it wrong that I didn't know what Black Up is?????:eek:hboy:
I'm interested in the full coverage foundation by black up but I have no damn idea what shade I am. Looking at youtube videos and trying to get beyond all the yapping I would say I fall within the first 5 shades, but that's not a big help.
Hi ladies!! I did a review for BlackUp when they partnered with Specktra last year. They sent me a some foundation samples, BB cream samples, the Sublime powder and some other lip and eye products. The link to the Specktra thread is in my signature if you'd like to check some of the products out!!
LOL. Of course. What about UES? Lol! I guess we should expect it at Green Acres, too? Is there even a Sephora at Green Acres?
Nope

I'm so excited that Black Up Cosmetics is now available on Sephora.com! There are quite a few products that I would like to try, however, I am currently attempting to be on a low-buy, so since all of the items are permanent, I'll buy them at a later date (especially since I just bought the Bobbi Brown Highlight Powder in Bronze Glow, lol. I make an exception in my low-buy for limited edition products since they may only be available for a relatively short time). It's going to be so difficult to be on a low-buy with the upcoming holiday season (since they'll be a plethora of limited edition items available) but I'll just have to be more discerning with my purchases.

Who is this Vegas Nay person...I don't follow Instagram artists like that but I thought the palette was named after Las Vegas?!?! Anyway, it looks pretty. Please let us know how you like it!
