:D I think it would look chic on you. With you hair in a fun updo & big hoop earrings....at least that's how I saw it in my head lol. Hey, did you see all the Philosophy gingerbread stuff up on Nordise? I'm not sure if it smells like gingerbread or soap :hehe:
I did not see it but I am about to go check it out now! lol

I think I'll get around to the black lipstick. I like the picture you're painting, but I don't like my hair off my face. My head is too big for that.

I got an order in late yesterday. I ordered:
- Lancome Liqui-Pencil in Brique- they put them on sale and I just got one last week in an order. I was mad. A few weeks ago I noticed the colors on my wishlist were gone! Not even listed. I went from store to store looking for them. I found a few but and bought them but not the main one I wanted. Last week it popped back up in stock. I was surprised and promptly ordered and it came last week. I went to see if I could get another and it was no longer there so I guess it was good that I ordered it last week. I did have quite a few on my list but I decided to just order the one I wanted the most and hope the rest don't disappear before I can get them. I wonder if they are discontinuing the whole line or Sephora's exclusive contract has ended. I really like these and hope they will be available elsewhere.
I'm curious, how do you wear Brique? It's a gorgeous color and I've had it for a year, but I've never reached for it.

Βeautiful shades with earth shades that show the face more sweet. The rest of the makeup is easy because it can combine that color nud you want on the lips. Not intense shades because they show the face harder

I finally got the Too Faced Melted Gingerbread lipstick today and it's a gorgeous color. It does smell like gingerbread with a hint of chocolate. Now if only it wasn't 90 degrees outside I'd be in the perfect mood to wear it!

I know! Right!?! It might as well be mid-July, not the end of September! We've had record temperatures for the past 5 days!

You do not.

I think Elegant's idea with the updo and hoops would look awesome on you. Play around with it one evening & give it a try. If it would make you feel more comfortable maybe you could leave a bit (not much) of hair down on each side, give it a loose twirl with a curling iron. Keep in mind that I see lots of pretty styles on ladies but know nothing when it comes to actually styling.

How about a low, slicked back ponytail? :hehe:I think I can deal with that. I will play around with it, though.

Some Nars & Man Ray Holiday 2017 items just launched on Sephora Canada. I couldn't resist the highlighter with the lips

I haven't used it yet! I thought it would go great with all the reddish eyeshades that were popular this year. I wore many of these looks this summer. But now I've been on a purple kick. I was thinking maybe I should pick up a few of the purple liners before they are gone. I feel like I have a lot of purple liners. I think I bought a purple liquid liner from Lancome last year. I need to check on that. The only thing is I think I have a lot of purple liner but they don't get as much use mostly because I wear the color every once in awhile in a look but I think that is going to change. I noticed Brique is already gone from the site and a few others I had my eye on. Maybe this will get me to go out to Sephora today. They had an event yesterday in Manhattan and I just couldn't get up. So exhausted. I think I should go to the stores and see what I can find. I think they do still have some on the Lancome site though. I had wanted to get a back up of the gold one. I'm still surprised that they are discounted now since they came out with a few new shades this year. Either spring or summer.

But you asked about Brique. I'll try to remember to post when I use it.

Lucky that I don't have to pay upfront for the Mac items! Thank goodness. The Nars burgundy eyeshadow set is beautiful! Love it! But I totally hear what you are saying. I would have waited on the other Nars items but was worried they would sell out. Happy i grabbed them! Guerlain holiday is the next big one!

Ok so this is old news to most people, but brand new for me - Estée Lauder Double Wear. I have never even wanted to try this because I'm normal/dry, and I do sometimes get flaky. I also am not into full coverage. Well, this weekend I went to a Sephora grand opening and one of the girls had flawless skin so I asked what she had on and ELDW was the answer. I pretty much said "ok ok never mind", but she convinced me to at least take home a sample. I thought why not and decided to try it today over Laura Mercier Radiance primer and applied with a beauty blender. I kind of think I might be in love. First of all, the color match is spot on (and that is half the battle), but it also does not even necessarily look matte on me! It has a lovely skin-like finish (at least when used with my current skincare and with the LM primer). It went on my skin so well. I've read some reviews that say it has awful flashback, but I tested that and there was no flashback at all. Perhaps those people don't have as good of a shade match? ALSO it has not transferred to my phone screen when I've been on calls today, and that is incredible. I feel like I've just been dismissing something amazing all these years because I thought it wouldn't mesh with my skin type. I had to tell someone, and none of my real life friends would care so I came here lol

LOL! Welcome to the Cult of DW! ;) I love the stuff! Long wearing, minimal transfer, no flashback...It is my HG foundation...try as I might and though I have been tempted by all the shiny and new...I stick with the DW!

I have seen you rave about it for over a year, but chalked up not trying it to difference in skin type. I should heed the call sooner! Lol

Thank you! This gives me hope as I’m always on a search for a good foundation. I have normal/dry skin with rosacea and flaky areas which is challenging. I hate the look of most foundations so I’ve just given up. I keep reading about DW so I’m going to get a sample next time I’m at Sephora.

Oh good! Hopefully it works for you too. Moisturized skin + a glow boosting primer and this stuff had the desired effect plus lasted 13 hours.

Lol!! It's great when you find a good foundation. I think I was matched poorly once, I will give it a try again. Having the foundation stay put and not melt off in 6 hours is half the battle.

Yayy! I really like double wear too but I think I have to investigate a new shade as the one I had was before the reformulation and extension of shades. It wears like an armour. Long days are nothing that ELDW can't handle.
