I cannot tell a lie. Seeing the products with the "inspiration boards" of autumn foliage makes me want the products a lot more than I would if I saw them on their own. Reading the names and descriptions didn't excite me that much, but linking them to the beautiful, rich, muted tones of autumn made me perk up my ears... er... eyes.

This is subjective, but I hate the makeup in the promo picture for the collection. To me it looks like she smeared some dirt on her face and didn't wash it all off before the photo shoot. The makeup in the picture from the promo event is so much prettier! I especially love the first model, who looks like she's spent the day outside in the fresh autumn air.

Right now, I'm potentially interested in:

Oak
Courage
Jinsha (although I suspect it'll look terrible on me)

Deoending on how sparkly the Illusion d'Ombres shadows are, I might be interested in those too. The very shimmery ones irritate my eyes, but I'm thinking these might be lower on the shimmer scale.

I can't imagine that Jinsha wouldn't work for you...but then you would know best!!!

I am hopeless, have placed my order for all of it. Now just need to wait for it to arrive. The perks of having a Product Specialist to handle these things.....now just need some wildfires so I can pay for it all!!!!

The blush could be used for a contour such as I use Accent from Holiday 2013 for, if you are a pink Casper. Just a thought. Or use a MAC fan brush to apply. I find the light amount of bristles on the this brush perfect to apply super saturated colors of blushes. Such as Chanel Rouge, which I love!!!! Get the Snow White look perfectly!!!! Not looking like a clown.

Mid to late August. Mr. Ford should be about a month later. Remember this is a marathon, we need to pace ourselves. Of course we never see the finish line!!!!! Since there is always some new collection coming down the pike!!!! Plus they are having free Chanel facials at NM this Sat. Got Mama an appointment. She so deserves it!!!!

Thank you. I needed a makeup "break"... but do we ever get any?! Heck no!

I tell myself I need to go on a no-buy in one breath and then find myself opening new packages in the mail like-- "How did this get here?"

I loooooooooove fall and holiday collections. They are my weakness. This was actually the first summer in a long time that I spent series $$$$ on products. TF just did it SO right this season. So right. He got me good.

But you will have it for a very long time. Yes, boundaries are important. If you miss your house payment or can't pay rent because of this hobby, that is wrong. But going without Starbucks or a night out with the girls. Or eating Ramen Noodles, instead of lobster, then you are OK!!!! Plus putting on your makeup by candle light is not a good idea. Nope my electric has never been shut off. It was when I was stuck in the Tetons or worse yet, Death Valley.

I just wore my first Chanel nail polish (Terrana from the summer collection) and it lasted for 5 days with slight tip wear and got the first and only chip on day 8, which was today. I also bought #663 Lovely Beige, which I intend to wear next week.
Thank you for the info. I am a sucker for Dior so it is easy to buy the polishes. I only buy the classic colours so I know they will be worth it. The thing is that Chanel is always so on trend. If Chanel comes out with a new colour, a month later drugstores are overflowing with dupes. I am a no fuzz kinda gal and I do want my polish to last. I have a hard time with Bad Fairy because it starts chipping after three days and I do not need a polish that makes me look polished for just two days.

I have had on Lovely Beige and Beige Rose for 3 days, and yes, worked, as in hands in water, ice, etc. No chips, nothing. Bad Fairy if you use a good brand base coat, then top with Seche, I get it to last 5 days. And two coats of color....
