Maybe the old formula Coco wasn't selling. Especially now that nearly every line has a balm-ish finish at this point, and many are far more long-lasting.

The new formula blurb sounds similar to Rouge Allure as far as the moisturizing property goes. To me the RAs are very moisturizing. But I've read users reporting that they find them drying in the extreme. I guess we'll see?

@patentg33k I'm one of those who finds the current RAs drying....and too highly scented. I preferred the original RA formula.
Etienne looks very deep and a bit brown in the lipstick picture but on Keira's lips it looks brighter and pretty!
A lot of them look very brown in that promo pic on my monitor. Hoping it's just my monitor or the pic. They rarely look like those promo pics irl so I'm not worried yet. lol

I hope the new RC formula is moisturising for my lips. I haven't tried the current RAs, it's been a long time since I bought a chanel lipstick. The old RAs were fine, not very drying nor moisturising, but I prefer the scent of RC to RA. Do we know when the new RC is launching?

The Chanel lipstick promo images always look like the colors offered in old drugstore-level lipstick ads, like Cutex and very old Revlon. I mean this as a compliment, by the way. They look so complex and deep, and at least 50% of them turn out to be flattering on me. Maggy, Antoinette, Emilienne, and Marie all look especially promising, but I need more lipstick approximately as much as I need an elephant in the front yard, so I will try to abstain. Try to.
