I should never have even mentioned Muse's review of this lipstick. I feel like I inadvertently opened up a can of worms.

Oh it is not you. I am the one everyone is pissed at. I guess it is acceptable to make fun of duck lips in general but not to point out that someone makes them all the time.

Don't worry honey it almost always becomes a shizstorm if a blogger is mentioned in a less than positive light. It isnt your fault. Nor should you feel bad. I do wish muse would show different pose and lighting and agree with that part of the critique. She is probably closer in skin tone to me than T or Karen so I will keep looking at her blog.

I like Vampy Varnish for my skin tone. She has pretty good pics and lighting.

No, you didn't. Again, it's not constructive criticism people are being called to task about. It's unnecessarily rude comments about people who aren't there to defend themselves.
I did not make fun of her teeth. I asked if anyone has ever seen them, as I said in the previous post, I look at how lipstick colors can change the appearance of the teeth. That is important in a beauty blog IMO and was not a joke or to make fun of her. If I said "OMG HAVE YOU SEEEN HER teeth", as in they are messed up, that would be being mean. GFG.
Oh, okay! Good. I'm glad I misunderstood what you meant, because I was over here like "wow, really?"

NO!!! I mean that as serious as I can be, yes, the headband is goofy as heck, but I ASKED about her ever showing her teeth for a serious makeup reason. Some colors really make the teeth look whiter and that is a deciding factor for me. That is what I mean by people assuming comments are mean when they are not at all.

There probably isn't a single blogger out there who I wouldn't want to change something about... whether I think they are too hard on certain products/brands, too easy on products, not detailed enough, inaccurate lighting, etc. However, it's really in looking at all of them combined that I see the big picture and it gives me a more accurate image of the products being reviewed.

I agree. I didn't anticipate it looking so good on so many different people. I think this is a color that seems to adapt to the person wearing it.

I think the problem here most of the time is misunderstanding the differences between catty or mean and pointing out something or being blunt. I guess what gets me is people getting so butt hurt when it is not mean or not even about them. This goes for the repetitive questions too. When someone says check back a few pages then the whining starts that we are a bunch of meanies or whatever.

The last part I'm fully on board with. If you ask a question 55 times, especially when the information is right in front of you, expect people to be irritated. Personally, I don't think telling someone where to go to get the info is mean.

I'm trying to tell myself not to get this. But goddamn! It's so pretty on EVERYONE!

I feel like I'm maxxed out with purples right now. I've hardly touched my PC lippies. I've worn Strong Woman a handful of times (Is it really a dupe? It sure looks like one in Maneater's swatches). Heroine gets worn once every month or so.... Do I need this? I also have Dominate, Cyber, and more lippies along that vein...
I am so with you! This is like the PERFECT purple for all skin tones. I haven't seen it look bad on anyone. I have a whole draw full of purple lipsticks, but I think this is the one

Now to figure out how to wear amplified finishes without them slipping all over my face.
