I find temptalia swatches to be very accurate in person, the exact same color to be specific, and i am a complete different race muchless skintone/color. I been following her for so many years. And I depend on her swatches when deciding on any brand not just mac. I enjoy looking at all swatches from everywhere, but for bloggers I decide based on her. Its not a swatch until i see her swatches. When I go to the store to view and buy makeup, its spot on identical. I know its prob very weird to others hearing me say that. But she does it for me.
I could see that. The problem is that she is closer to my skintone (she is nc25 and I am nc20) and yet things that look very light on her end up WAY darker on me. That's a major lighting problem.

YES, her new lighting even makes her skin look way different compared to a couple of years ago and the swatches are way off. It looks slimy on her like she had on goopy gloss before she put it on.

I think the quality of her swatches have improved a great deal recently, but the lighting is definitely not 100% accurate. I was looking at her foundation matrix the other day and her swatch of Studio Fix Fluid in NC25 looks absolutely orange. I just finished up a bottle of that and it looks nothing like that, otherwise I would have looked disgusting.

I lIke the lipstick in T's swatch and hate the one in the Vampy Varnish,, Karen's swatch is inconclusive.
I think Karen's swatch is nicer and although she is nowhere near my complexion tone or lip tone, I find her swatches easier to reference by for myself. Looking at T's swatches I was thinking it was a definite pass, but looking at Karen's, I want this little precious. I just wonder if it'll be a Rebel dupe on me.

I think it's funny that she says "It’s not overly dark or “goth” looking at all" meaning it as a good thing, and I'm over here like "but that's what I WANTED!!!"

All the bloggers swatches are always different from each others.
No I know they are never going to be the exact same, different lighting, skin tone etc etc but this is a HUGE difference to me. And now looking at Karen's her's seem a little in between the two? Hmm...

It is going to be one of those lipsticks that will look different on everyone lol. I always find karens swatches to be the most accurate but that's just me.

I am still going to get this regardless but I'm still having a hard time figuring out what it REALLY looks like! Vampy Varnish's swatch looks soo different from everythign we've seen thus far.

Even if it looks like punk couture I won't be mad cause then I'll just see it as a backup in a different finish. You can never have enough purple lipsticks.
Same here... will be getting this for sure
