Ablaze sucked every last bit of colour out of my face! It was the worst colour for me that I have ever tried. I am so glad I tried that one on in the store. Don't know what it was because usually I can wear corals.

Ablaze was awful on me too. Something about it clashed horribly with my complexion. But you could be right about the lustre finish of DD being more forgiving. I have Ablaze lipglass and that is gorgeous, though it's not quite the same shade as the lipstick.

True that. It's obviously the super popular things like lipsticks and what not but it's hard to guess beyond that. You never know if something you go through monthly is going to have a price increase and that sucks! It doesn't seem like a lot but it's gone up 3 bucks since I've been a committed macaholic which sucks! And for people who have been buying even longer it's probably 7 or more dollars. I honestly wouldn't mind so much if they improved the products but it all stays the same or gets worst

Yes! I bought the Ablaze lip glass, too, and I really like it on. Odd, although as you point out, the shades are kind of different.

What would you ladies think about phlox garden with light blue eyes? I'm debating picking that up Thursday but on the fence. I don't normally go for purples, but it looks soo pretty!

I just pray MAC doesn't become Louis Vuitton. Yearly price increases that come with yearly decreases in quality and collections I could care less about because they're so tacky and not made with precision and craftsmanship like what they used to be. They should let us create themes & vote on 1 entire collection with the price hikes. Lend their ears to their devoted customers in return for the increase. Also they should have something like a MAC petition tab on the site to bring certain items back every quarter. IMO.
