I just purchased another PT. Wwwwwhhhhhyyyyy!!!!
Perfect Topping?? Well you must have liked it that much! You seem to be the same skin tone as me. I tried PT in the store but it read a bit too cool on me (ashy lol) Do you use it as a highlight or blush?

Hi everyone- here's a couple of shots of the AMAZING work my MA did on me today at the FoF event:
and before and after, haha:

We used a ton of different products all over the place - what particularly stood out were the new correcting compacts and CC creams - there is zero contouring - he did it all using a combo of the yellow and violet correctors underneath some very light foundation. You'd never know! For the cheeks, he used a little Fleur d'Coral lipstick underneath new Stereo Rose, so that is gorgeous too, huh! The guy is incredibly talented!!!! He's even got an interview with the woman who is the head makeup artist for American Horror Story coming up, to be her assistant when they film their season in New Orleans. I really hope it works out for him - the guy's a makeup genius and very nice person too!

I learned to use lipstick as a blush from my mom who still uses this trick, and still looks amazing:heart:
My mom & grandma did this too!! I used to just stare at my gram doing her makeup. She looked beautiful her whole life!! She also used to use cocoa butter sticks all over her face (but I don't do that...heehee)!

Clearly your mom is a wise woman when it comes to the art of makeup and beauty!

When Viva Glam Nicki came out, the makeup artist helping me was stressing how multifunctional the color was, and he put some on the apples of my cheeks---I was amazed at how fresh and lovely it was!

Stopped at Macy's to swatch Heavenly Hybrid and Petal Power.  I wasn't impressed HH and since I already have Dish it Up, I decided I could skip it.  Petal Power was so beautiful in the pot, but when I swatched it - no matter where I swatched it - all I pulled was the gold, so that was a skip, too.  So my complete skip of this collection is official!
I thought it was just me! I applied it to my cheeks and the only thing remaining was the golden sheen, no color at all. I'm so sad about it because it is stunning in the pan. But it's going back.

After a long trial with Snapdragon lippie and Phlox Garden. I am returning snapdragon for sure, it is in the mail. Phlox Garden is very pretty on after I wore it however it is to dark for my top lash line, it looks pretty nice on the bottom lash line.

I went a little too lipstick crazy in 2013 so I'm trying my hardest to skip all these collections-- everything looks WONDERFUL on you all. I'm gonna sit over here and try not to be jealous lol

I did spend all night stalking Peter Pilotto for Target though... trade in one bad habit for another

He used Sassy Moss as a base, with the greens from the new MES, Humid, Gorgeous Gold and the yellow CC on the brow bone with Lilly-White over. Then he lined the eyes with Undercurrent and mixed in Contrast to deepen it and make it even cooler. Finally, Fascinating in the water line and he cut up lashes into quarters and placed them asymmetrically on top and bottom lashes (with Opulash mascara).

On the lips, he dimmed out my lip color using the violet CC cream - which is brilliant and worked perfectly and wasn't drying. I'm going to be doing that at home a lot. Then I'm pretty sure he used Snapdragon, although I hadn't asked specifically…maybe he used a little Rose Lilly in there too. Then he used the new cute purple sparkly csg on top - love that one!

You can join me in the anti-enabling box! Not that I'm always the anti-enabler, but I definitely try to be a voice of reason when I don't think something is going to work or is going to need in-person decisions.

Darling Liba,

yes, Theda Bara was the bad girl -- vamps were hot hot hot back then.

As much as I do wear vampy lips, I tend to look better with my reds, pinks and corals...

I am so happy that you got the treatment you deserve from the MAC mua.. you look amazing~

enjoy~

Yep - he carved a little chunk off with a spatula and smoothed it out on a palette before applying it to my cheeks. I can't recall if he mixed it with a little extra of one of the CC creams - pretty sure he didn't, but he was mixing up a storm on that palette of his - he'd even mix powder products right into the cream and liquid ones before applying. Something I didn't realize was he feels if you mix your products together first before applying, rather than layering them on one by one, you get better wear time overall. Makes sense when you think about it.

I'll post some info about the correctors in their thread. All the MAs at the event were going nuts over them and they really do give an excellent effect. If you're someone like me, whose facial features are a bit flat, rather than prominent, I think you'll be able to get a huge boost in volume by using a combo of these correctors, rather than traditional contouring. Can't really contour what isn't there to begin with, but especially with the violet products, you can pull an impressive amount of fullness outwards.

Thanks dear for all the details! I am so intrigued by the mixing of product before hand. And, the lavender cc cream is calling me, so I will try it. That is a really great idea using it on the lips, I want to try that too.
