I think I might have thrown my container away from last year's pencil set! Sadness!

I just didn't know what to do with it, ya know? Too bad.

And this year I'm a little disappointed in the pencils...they're like the heatherette smudgey pencils and softsparkles which aren't soft at all...you have to press hard to get them to work, at least for me.

Do the eyeshadow palettes sell out fast? I want to order online, but I wanted to wait until little darmings went up so I can buy the cool pigments set at the same time. Does anyone even know when that's going up either? I so confused...

Hey, does anyone know if the Little Darlings will be available for pre-order in the MAC store? Want those glosses!

If I recall from last year, some of the palettes were available online even up til Christmas but not all of them. I think a couple of them sold out fairly quickly. If it's shipping charges you're concerned about, I think they've got free shipping til Oct 25, and then by the time the pigments come out you can just use a free shipping code. HTH!

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but this year the Palettes are Plastic, unlike last year's which were metal. also, they vary in color. Just thought I'd let everyone know ^_^

Carmine beetles=red! I get this collection now.

personaly i don't like these SE brushes at all. i want MAC brushes for the quality. sure the SEs are cheaper, but you can get brushes of similar quality to the SE from other brands for even cheaper

and with the full size the ferrules are made of nickel, and the SE ferrules are made of aluminum, causing them to dent easier. not the same materials at all.

i'm totally dissapointed as well. and because they're gonna be the same lame heatherette pencils, i'll skip the eyeliner set. (please don't throw rotten tomatoes at me)

i haven't been reaching for my heatherette pencil for a very long time already.

If I'm not mistaken, carmine (aka beetles) is still used in cosmetics to make red colors, as mentioned in this thread http://specktra.net/f256/ingredients...edients-30560/, but also that's why they don't make many red e/s apparently, according to the discussion in that thread.

Good choice! This is a much better smokey palette than last year's, which I still hardly know what to do with it! I like a couple colors, but it's only been recently that I even liked a couple! lol. This year's looks like it has a few more matte colors which I'm super excited about!

Do you guys think this year's Cool Eye palette is better than last year's? Or the other way around?

I missed out on last year's Cool Eyes (and I really really like it)

Re: MAC-Adoring Carmine/Passionately Red/Passions of Red/Little Darling Discussion

I got to see this stuff today. Here are my quick thoughts:

Lip Bags: The Neutral Lips and Red Lips are really gorgeous. The Rose Lips...meh, PASS!
Eye Palettes: The Smokey Eyes wasn't all that unique, but if you're lookin' for all those colors in one place, then that palette will fit your needs. The Devoted Poppy is one of the standouts, IMO. The bright colors instantly caught my eyes. The payoff is decent, but don't expect Manish bright. The other standout is Cool Eyes, but that's probably more because those colors are up my alley. I honestly didn't even take a second look at the Warm Eyes palette...it was just there, with colors we've all seen before.
Lip Palettes: They're OK...we've all seen these colors before, but they can be handy for carrying around, so whatev.
Brush Bags: I didn't even look at them since I don't care for these.

Hope this helps someone!

I like this years Cool Eyes Palette is better than last years. I haven't received this year's yet, but it looks to have a few more user-friendly colors than last year's Cool Eyes Palette.

I think I will definitely get Smokey Eyes, Cool Eyes.
I will hold off on Classic and Rose Lips for now. I might want them when I see them IRL, but for online ordering, I will get what I have to have first.
smiles.gif

So online stuff:
Red lips
Cool Eyes
Smokey Eyes

Brush sets... I can wait for store. Those usually don't sell that fast.
smiles.gif

Yaaaaaaay, so I can spread out the damage, that ALWAYS helps.

Classic and Rose Lips, possible Neutral will have to wait. I will decide between the two lip sets.
