^^^No, they don't come in individual boxes - just by themselves in the bag

I just thought it would be nice to buy the set first and get the full size later so I would have two of them to work with. Like one for blending paint pots and the other one for the e/s

I love brushes

But I definetely don't need a 217SE that pokes my eyelids

Really. My red 187 looks like clumps of the white hairs are totally missing, splotchy - not like my regular 187.

I looooove the 217. It's great for... everything? It's also my concealer brush of choice. I have three and feel like I could use another!

like alot of you, my face brush set is HORRIBLE, none of them are soft, and bristles fall out like crazy!

they might be ok for a girft, if the person isn't THAT into makeup and just wants a start but for anyone else, no... lol

I got the warm eye palette and I like it though. It could use a littttllle more pigmentation but whose complaining

Oh before I forget, will the Little Darlings pigment sets be normal pigment quality, or will they skimp on that to?
hope not because I'm excited for those

But I have to wait and see what damage next Monday will do to my wallet.

edit about brushes: I just had to wash my bobbi brown foundation brush like 10 times with baby shampoo. I can't believe what the MAC brush cleanser all left in there

Adore It does look super pretty from swatches. Is there anything like it at all in the permanent line?

I did a Live Chat and they suggested Swelter or Grenadine Slimshines as the only thing close to Adore It, but as they look very different from each other online I'm not sure what to make of that!

Thanks for responding! That sucks because I have the full 217, 219, and 239 and they are all soft and wonderful brushes. That is so disappointing. My sets aren't here yet from my online order yet. When they get here though, I'll be taking them right back to Nordstroms.

Icky. I ALWAYS use baby shampoo to wash my brushes, just 'cause I think brush cleanser does an inadequate job and is too expensive for something that isn't going to be great...

I didn't find them scratchy at all. It might be because I don't have any other MAC brushes to compare them to like I said earlier but I thought they were soft and I already used 209 and it was soft. The only thing I didn't like is the colour of the handles. I would have liked them better if they were a deeper or maybe shimmery red.

Hmmm..I'm a little confused about the holiday brush sets. Why would MAC, who is known for the high quality of its products, offer brushes that are not (in my opinion) high quality? I do understand the idea of getting a set of brushes for cheaper, but why cheap out on the quality? Wouldn't it just make sense if they made the brushes with the same quality as the full size brushes and just charge a little more for the set then they do now. That way, yah people are paying more money, but they are getting the quality of brush that MAC should be offering? IDK...

I'm skipping the brush sets. I was really excited at first because I don't have any MAC brushes, but I don't want to pay £40 per set when I only want one or two from each. I'd rather pay for the full size ones and buy one or two a month. Especially since some of you think the quality is crap!!

YAAAYYY my brushes came today!!!

So I got the basic and the eye sets. I disagree with everyone that said that they are crap. I tested out all of the brushes rubbing them on my eyelids and cheeks, both on the tip of the brush bristles and the sides of the brushes. Out of both sets, the only scratchy brushes were the 266 (the entire brush was a mess) and the 252 (only scratchy at the tips, but smooth on the sides) all of the other brushes are definately workable.

The 217 I received did have 2 hairs that seemed stiffer than the others in the brush, I plucked them out and now the brush is fine. It's just like the full 217.
The 129 is not scratchy- it's kinda soft, but I've felt softer brushes. I don't have a 129, so I don't know what the full-sized one feel like.
The 239 is just like the full 239
The 219 is just like the full 219- except the SE brush comes to a sharper point.
The 209 is just like the full 209
I don't have the full sized brushes to compare the following, but the 129, 212, 316, 275 (VERY soft and nice) are nice brushes. I can even work with the 252, I just won't be applying anything using the tip of the brush.

I love them and I'm glad I ordered them. $35 was a steal IMO. The only brush that was crap is the 266, that one is a lost cause.

Oh, they could've kept the bags, they are corny.

I hope this helps anyone who wondered about the eye brushes, cuz I was lost

on the eye! yeah yeah it says keep away from the eye area, but if you look at the trends online when the glitters come out, they always use em on the eye those hipocrits!

or, if you've got a classic winged liner and a dark berry lip, slap some on the center of the lips-HOT!!!
