I personally like the pigment sets precisely because of the sizes - I can't imagine ever using up a whole full size jar of pigment in my lifetime, and this is a great way to get multiple colours. If you will use them all, of course.

I along with most was not too pressed about the HOLIDAY collection, but these are the things that I have gotten:

Red She Said = ALL the MES trio's, ALL the Dazzleglasses, & Pomposity lipstick
Adoring Carmine = nothing! got all the brush bags from last year
Passions of Red = BBBOOOOOOOO!!!! hated it!
Passionately Red = nope...still got the 6 palette from 2 yrs ago
Little Darlings = Coral, Pink, & Neutral (got today, still need to play with it)
Enchanting Vermillion Fashion Eye Kit = not interested
Sheer Minerals = Petticoat & 181 Small Buffer Brush/ MSF-Natural in Deep Dark

I think my next purchase will be Love Joy & Nuance Mineralize Blush and the new Dazzle Lash.

BUT as with everyone else I am putting my wallet on restriction and not allow for it to come off till Hello Kitty!!!!

Ok...well not I will not lie. I am going to take a peek at the other collections between now and HK!

I am on a no buy until December 26th. It started November 1st and four days in so far so good. So since I really want the pigment sets I told my mom I want these for Christmas. So today I put what I wanted in my MAC.com shopping cart and let her do the fun stuff like pay. I don't care that I know part of what I am getting for Christmas. I just feel better knowing that I will get these.

I bought the Rose Lips set, the colours are beautiful

I think, though, that they are close to perm colours, not exactly there but not far

For those of you thinking of a backup or who don´t want to buy the set right now, Romancin' could be replaced with Capricious (which is a tiny tad darker and less bright) and To Swoon For is about the same colour as Sweetie. The latter has silver glitter while To Swoon For has golden one, but it is so subtle in both that the difference is not too big. I have these two perm colours, so I realized I will not buy a backup, I could never use them all up before they go bad; I have about 12-15 lipsticks, so I´m really at the limit of what can be used in the next years. Most of these are some kind of pink/plum/rose anyways

What I do not fancy so much is the colour red actually

that kept me from buying the brush sets, too, but I learned that they come out in regular intervals; maybe at a later time I get these; when they are again black or maybe white; just not the fire-engine red. Since I would look at them every day for a long time, they should be in a colour that I truly like.

Thank you also all for swatches and discussions here, they helped in making decisions about what to choose

so how is everyine liking the eyeshadow palettes? Do you think they change the wuality on them or kept them the same???? I bought 3 an wasnt quite sure they didnt jump out to me but for some reason I bought all but the smokey one

I bought the warm eyes palette and think it's the same quality as my single eyeshadows.

I totally agree. I bought Warm and Smokey and am very, very happy with both. Lemming the Cool Eyes now, actually.

DO IT! I used the cool palette today, tres impressed. I love all the purple/pink combos you can make. Did my fave of a silver inner eye, purple shadow on lid then satin taupe in the crease/outer v. *sigh* so not regretting the ~$49 I spent on it. Love it!

I must not get tempted to buy Cool Eyes...

Is it better to get Cool Eyes palette or Cool pigment set? I'm kinda sad that I'm missing out on the Cool Eyes palette.

I think these are two totally different things

I love both, the cool eyes palette and the cool pigments set. But I couldn't choose one, sorry.

Thanks Susanne. I will have to take a look at the Cool Eyes palette again this Saturday. I wish the pigments were out too. Then I can look at them all.
