MAC - Alice + Olivia Discussion

In light of new information about amazing collections, I'm just looking for If it's Pink DGC, I.Want.Candy DGC and Morning After lacqueur (x2 so I can send one home to my little sisters where we don't have a freestanding store). I might even pass on If it's Pink unless it's quite unique, because it seems like I've been on pink lipgloss overload lately.

No, seriously. What am I SUPPOSED to be putting on there?

Well, presumably "other" is everything that doesn't fit into the specified categories.

I really don't know. But as long as you don't get into trouble for it, I am sure all your international customers appreciate you marking things as "gift".

Honestly I have noticed that a number of e-taliers that have big "we will not mark packages as gift, so don't ask us" disclaimers on their sites, do in fact mark things as "gift" when they ship things to me. I think they do this because they know it generates more return customers.

We don't have Covergirl here, but I am happy with my Maybelline mascaras. Before I used the The Colossal Volum' Express in the yellow tube and lately I've been using The Falsies Volum' Express in the purple tube. Both are very good mascaras IMO.

For waterproof days I use L'Oreal Voluminous.

I prefer Covergirl over Maybelline. Comparing Lash Blast to the Colossal, I personally find Lash Blast has more volume and a better brush. And with Lash Blast Length and Define a Lash, LBL has a better formula IMO, doesn't clump and gives me a lot of length.

I need them so I can figure what I can't live without from this collection!! It's killing us poor, sad non-US, non-Canada, non-japan, non-korea MACaddicts!!

Something this simple like Maybelline I can't get my hands on!

This Maybelline Hello Kitty Mascara is limited edition in Japan. It was released on May 29th.

so, i was totally gonna get 2 of each pigment and put them in the old jars (so they fit in with all my other pigments and glitters of course), but i just transferred both a new container pigment and glitter into old jars, and they filled right up to the top, just like the old containers did.

looks like i just need one of each pigment then!

this goes to show you that they're filled by weight, not volumn.

Ok, here I am. Sorry, been away a while for job, so we now have 2 entire pages of posts since my latest comment. However, I would like to summarize the mail situation for shipping in Italy, so other people can easily understand the situation.
1) the mail service in Italy is DREADFUL!!! Even when I send a postcard from here (Venice) to Padua (about 30km). So, postal service is SLOW, extremely slow.
2) there are bigger problems when you are sending something from outside Europe to here, due to the custom for freight. Which is the normal schedule? Well, if the officers at the C.F.F. are not checking the package, no problem. You usually get your package in about 2x (number of days usually needed), just for the slow service.
The problem arises when they actually CHECK the package. They keep about 10 days to check it (read: open it and send you a form that must be filled). In this form you have to write absurd things like the chemical components of the product. Well, I AM NOT A CHEMIST! You must specify where the product has been made, if it goes against laws, etc. Now, how am I supposed to know this kind of details? Easily, since MAC pigments are imported in Italy, there should be no problem. But you have to write all the info in the form, info that I simply don't know. Then, you have to send back the form. So other 10 days. Finally, at the CFF, officers SHOULD, in theory, send you your package. This is the big question: why do they take about 2 months in doing that???
th_dunno.gif

Moreover, sometimes, after all these steps, the package simply disappears!

So, please, if you send things in Italy, write that it is a gift!!!

Thanks for that. I just had someone buy something from Italy. I was scared it would get lost. I put it as a gift though, so hopefully everything is fine.
