sooo I'm not sure that helps much. She said they are pretty much translucent. I'm sure that someone else that uses it here can chime in.

Is that you in the pic? Are you having a picnic in your bathing suit - woot

I KNOW!
I'm about to wet myself, waiting for Rich Life to become available through the site, because that's the item I want most!

Speaking of which: Is Rich Life pigment at all similar in color to Showstopper eyeshadow?

I was a good girl and stuck to my no-buy in Dec because of xmas for the kids and all. I go to order and Rich Life Pigment and All's Good BPB are still showing coming soon. Come on MAC, you are killing me here. I do not want to go to the store so I won't go over budget.

Apparently, there is a hostage situation or a MAC truck has been stolen (that happened before, if I remember).

But Come On, Already. The ones I want the most are not available to my grubby little hands

Just came back from MAC ( Sorry I totally blanked out on the names because I was on my lunch break and was RUSHING)
My views :
Lipsticks: Love them, I think the lighter one ( forgot name) looks better with the gloss

5N looked very nice when I swatched it on my hand, and I reccommend it.

Pigments: Only Rich Life was displayed, which I bought. In the store, it looked great, got back to work, and it looked like Embark with reflects. I'm gonna go home and play with it, if I'm not happy, it's going in the Clearance bin, or back to the store

Blushes :
All's Good: PRETTY! But I'm not much of a blush person, so IDK if I'll get it. The other one ( Personal Style) too light

Shadows: Skipped 100% IMO too boring although I gave Banshee a half second look.

Brow pencils: I'll stick with eyeshadow.

That's all I looked at for now, I'm thinking of going back for a proper look.

BTW Lily Pulitzer was also there, and I didn't realize how BIG that eyeshadow container was!!! Jeez.
Those colors were more my style but I just passed it on by

I can't decide if I want Personal Style and Bashee or not.

If you have The Perfect Cheek do you need Personal Style?

Thats right - the missing truck. We loved that one.

It's in my garage, remember

The pigments reminded me of Solar White and Magnetic Fields...so if you have those eyeshadows you can skip em!

Personal Style on NC40 skin does NOT show up...but hey if that's the look you're going for then this will work for you. All's Good came out brown on me....not a good brown...more like dirt on my face...I had high hopes for both of these blushes....

I just got back from looking at this collection at lunch but didn't have too much time to play. Here's my 2 cents:

All Ages e/s- doesn't look like much in the pot, but it's a light grey/purpley lavendar color when swatched on my NW15/20 skin

Cross Cultural e/s - mid tone brown. Not too warm or red on my skin, nothing too special

Banshee e/s- Rose color with lots of sparkle glitter bits. Seems to have a bit of fallout when swatched but it's a pretty color

Showstopper e/s - Dark, almost black brown. I have this one in a palette from Xmas one year, it makes a decent liner if you're into that

Personal Style Blush - Looks like a light taupe/golden color in the pan but turned into a weird brownish shade on my skin. Pass for me!!

All's Good Blush - Didn't swatch this one. I wasn't remotely interested.

The pigments were pretty but I have some from other brands that are comparable. Nothing to report on the lipsticks/glosses because I already got my fix with love lace & warm n cozy

Hope this helps someone!

Ok, I am back from my counter. *sigh* I am a bit disappointed. I'd share pictures of a few comparisons, but my laptop with my camera software on it crashed, so I can't
ssad.gif
I only swatched the products that I was interested in, as to not tempt myself with things that I didn't consider.

For reference I am NW15 in SFF.

First up, Universal Mix Pigment, which I purchased. It is very pretty, but VERY sheer. On my hand, there is practically NO base color, just finely milled shimmer/sparkle. It will be pretty patted over other shadows to give a shimmer/sparkle effect. The sparkle is very faint, and much more subtle than the reflects glitters (though I can see this pigment being used like you would the reflects glitters). In comparing it to my other pigments, here are my thoughts...
UM compared to White Gold: White Gold is much chunkier, has a much frostier, much more obviously white base and green reflect.
UM compared to Your Ladyship: UM has the same sort of faint sparkle that UL has, but UL has ivory peach base. If you take the base color out of Your Ladyship, and add multicolor sparkle as opposed to gold, you pretty much have Universal Mix.
UM compared to Vanilla Pigment: Nothing alike. Again, Vanilla has an obvious pink/gold duochrome base. And much more frost.
UM compared to Solar White Eyeshadow: UM is sort of similar, less white, more sheer, and with the sparkle that Solar White does not have.

With the change in pigment size for the same price, and based on the sheerness if this pigment, I am just not sure that is is worth it. I will try it tomorrow with a base, or over darker shadows, and see how it goes. I was shocked by the size of the pigments. The jar is smaller than a MAC nail polish jar. SO tiny. One thing I do like though, is that they have added a little tab on the top of the plastic disk that sits under the lid. You can pick it up so much easier than before. I did not look at the other pigment. Brown is just not my color.

Personal Style BPB is a beautiful neutral, barely there, blush for fair girls. It would be a good contour shade for those with fair or mid-tone skin tones, and I can see how it would be show up or it may be chaulky for WOC. It has very faint mauve tones one applied to the cheek (I am wearing it as a cheek color, not a contour). It is buildable, soft and smooth like all BPBs. I got this one, and really, really like it. I didn't compare it to Blushbaby, but is it lighter, I think. Compared to Blooming, it's is much more brown, but it's not so brown that it looks dirty. The mauve tones make it very wearable. It looked brown on my hand, but differently on my cheeks.

All's Good BPB is very pretty. I think it will be gorgeous for darker skinned girls and WOC. I think fair ladies can wear it, but with a VERY light hand. I may go back for this one. I passed on it, but I may need it eventually. It is warm toned, and slightly red on me. I can see that with too much, it would give a ruddy look. It reminds me of something, but I can't put my finger on it... MAYBE Gleeful Mineralize Blush? I swatched it on my hand at the counter, and left it there, and as it started to wear off, I really liked the color.

Both of these colors are very deceptive in the pot. They look nothing like the pot color when applied to the skin. Please don't just pass them by without swatches. What you see is NOT what you get
smiles.gif

I swatched Equality l/s. Seriously, NO color on my hand. Looked like I applied chapstick. Faint lustre shine, with no pigment.

Myself l/s wasn't much better. Barely there pinky mauve shine on my hand. I doubt it would show any color on the lips.

I didn't swatch the other lipsticks or the lipglasses or eyeshadows. None of them looked special to me...

Hope that helps some of you

I plan to go back next week (when my kids are back in school so I can actually look

Now I am especially looking at neutral shades or non-bright shades that I am missing in my collection and can't already dupe.
yes.gif

I should almost be set with blushes but I am so weak when it comes to eye shadows.

All Ages e/s is the only one I am starting to get interested in.

I picked up the pigments and Personal Style. I didn't even look at anything else so that I wouldn't be tempted. I couldn't even tell you the colors!

Personal Style looks like the perfect nude blush to use with a dark, smokey eye. It has a bit of shimmer to it, so it won't be plain. I can't wait to try it out with the brown pigment!
