MAC - All Ages, All Races, All Sexes Discussion

universal mix pigment is identical to (the newer batches of) white gold pigment. they have the same color and texture. so you probably won't need both. quick frost is "flakier" and frostier than UM and WG. (btw, for those that are interested, like frozen white, white gold has been reformulated, but mac just won't admit it. so if you have the older batches, white gold would look more like quick frost than universal mix)

rich life is nice. it has similar texture to tea time. there isn't any mac pigment that's similar to this color

i initially wanted the beauty powder blushes, but i skipped (for the 1st time in 5 years, i'm skipping a LE mac blushes, so it's big) i think personal style on me = post-mortem fx make up. it might work better for someone with cool undertone. all's good is almost brick red/brown on me, not flattering, but it might be ok for someone with dark skin

i thought i might like glamour for all, but it's too pale and grey on me. plus, mac lipglasses go bad really quickly (most of the testers don't even smell like vanilla anymore) so i don't think i'll be buying any more mac lipglasses unless it's REALLY special

i also liked the two darker eyeshadows, but mac's matte eyeshadows (besides a few satins and matte2) and me don't get alone very well, so i skipped those as well

I really wish they would. Lipglass Stains were so awesome. Based on Saadeh's review, I may need to get Glamour for All after all!

I just want l/g Glamour For All and l/g Naked Frost!
yes.gif
Nothing else.

I am really not a fan of these neutral collections. I just bought the 88 warm palette from Coastal Scents - that must be enough for a long time
lol.gif

I save my money for Spring Colour Forecast and Give Me Liberty Of London!

Briefly Pink was one of the best Pink/Nude colors MAC has ever made. The lip stains coverage was so good.

Rich Life is a gorgeous brown, and as mentioned above, different than any other Mac brown pigment. I love it so much I'm considering getting a 2nd one. The items that I picked up from this collection are: Rich Life Pigment, Empowered Lipstick, Liquer Lipglass, penultimate brow marker and All's Good BPB. No complaints, love them all.

I've had a bad cold so haven't been able to check out any of this stuff yet. boohoo. When was Briefly Pink/lipglass stains from? I am planning to get Glamour for All, Myself and All Races...maybe the lighter BPB, not sure yet. I will have to be wowed by the color because my skin does not like BPBs. How is the texture on Banshee?

Way to kind of false advertise and be an ass MAC.

I must say though that the model he did the makeup on is GORGEOUS! I wish I had those cheekbones, damn!

I went to check this out yesterday. I'm a NW25 with blond hair. I went in thinking I wanted Myself and Empowered, but Myself totally disappeared on me, and Empowered was totally horrible. Instead I picked up 5N which was a lovely sheer warm brown on my very pink lips.

I am a real sucker for eye shadows. All Races is a lovely cool matt lilacy grey which I haven't really seen anywhere before. I don't have embark, so I picked up showstopper because I am looking for a dark dark matte brown to make a smokey eye with. I skipped banshee because it looked super glittery, and cross cultural as I was pretty sure I had some dupe for it.

I ended up getting Liquer LG which is a lovely warm shimmery brown for me. But in all, I ended up with far less from this collection than I was expecting. Granted I didn't check out the brow pencils because I'm happy with mine, or the beauty powders. But I also have to save money for the Liberty of London collection which looks UHMAZIN.

also, randomly, even though I don't love pinks or corals, I ended up with a Lily Lip Gelee. Strange!

After waiting since Tuesday for Rich Life to be available on the MAC site, I just couldn't stand it a minute longer, so I phoned in a special order, and they even honored the LILLY free ship code!
Now I can hardly wait to get it!

I'm not exactly sure when Briefly Pink was released. I've had mine for a few years.

I got my makeover yesterday
smiles.gif
Yeah!

I am probably a frustrating customer I didn't go in with any specific aim, purpose, or reason for the makeover. I am just on vacation this is when I happen to be near a counter. There was nothing specific that I wanted to try out but it was on a release date and as I figured she tried a lot of the All-Ages-Races Sexes stuff on me.

I just told her to do what she wanted, I'm easy going I'll like just about anything. I like neutrals, I like brights etc.

The M.A. Started with my eyes, filling in my brows with taupe pencil, that works for me, I'm very pale but I have dark hair, then using universal mix as a highlight (its so pretty), "All races" on the lid, Banshee in the crease, and then Folie in the outer V. It was pretty she lined the lower lash line with Banshee and then the outer part with folie, a very subtle slightly smokey eye. I liked it (but I don't have the hate-on, like some of ya'll for the lustres.

She used By Candlelight MSF (Warm and Cozy Collection) and So Sweet, So Easy blush (MAC In Lilyland) , on my cheeks.

Buerre liner, myself lipstick, and liquor gloss. I liked it very pretty very subtle, she had said the blush was bright but she applied it softly enough that it looked very natural. my cheeks get much pinker just from stepping outside for half a second in this weather ! (yeahhh for winter lol).

I got most of those things (i already had by candlelight from last week).

We also mixed and essential oil into the foundation, very pretty smelling. The funny thing is that day I matched as NC20 in the select moistureblend. But just a week ago I matched as NW15 in Studio Sculpt. so not sure my colouring would help anyone decide what to get. All I know is that I am PALE and apparently its not only my eyes that change their tone with what I am wearing. ~L~

But I like what I got, I am lemming Rich LIfe after those swatches though... Must resist the MAC , must shop for other things today!!!

To the bold part, every formula is different. A lot of people are either NW or NC depending on the foundation, I am NC15 in Studio Sculpt but NW20 in Studio Fix.

Did the essential oil help the foundation go on better?
