Good to know that patting might fare better for Hajar Karim. thanks everyone. I haven't been able to get NYX Milk to work well for me. It's either patchy or too opaque. I may have to just move on to Paint Pots.
I'm still using my trusty shadesticks!!!
Any other suggestions for MAC transition colors?  I do have soft brown and I use it but I am trying to find other transition colors to try.
Depending on your skintone, you could try Wedge, Omega, Cork, Soba, Saddle, or Texture.
Rule and orange are also great transition colours when working with darker colours, as well as brown script.

I don't have much luck with Milk either. I did get a Milani pencil recently, and so I am going to give that one a go as a base.
If you are having trouble with Milk, use the stick to put it on then pat it with your finger to make it even. It's by far the best base I've found, makes my eyeshadows so vibrant and last forever.

Looks like I'm going to skip HK. I love Sassy Grass too much. I can anyone with Beautyburst compare it to Saffron for me?

no prob...
I actually haven't used it before, I usually use texture or saddle in the crease, but sometimes, depending on the day, they give a tad bit too much color.
I think it'll work very well as a crease/blending color. my friend, who's about an NC 43-44 uses it all the time.

Soft brown is also a good transition color.
I've seen a few video tutorials where they use SB as a transition. It's too light for me, so I tend to use Blunt blush, Brown Script, or my latest fave, Uninterrupted.

Just got uninterrupted recently -- loving it.

Same here....I would never have thought that I' d love such a color but it is great!

I bought after reading erines raves and I am really happy that I got it.

I'm loving the Rimal Dahabia quad and soft brown! Used it for the first time today and its such a perfect everyday quad. I wish they would make soft brown permanent in the UK!

I've done that, and it just don't work for me. I am sure I can find a base that works for my lids that I can test it on.

I love, love love using Rule and other orange hues as transition shades. I love it to peek subtly from behind and slightly above a nice brown crease color like Uninterrupted and even Indie Spirit. I also like using Hot Paprika as a transition color.

I love those eye looks w/a transition shade like rule peeking through. I find it hard to do it myself but I love the way it looks on others. I had a MAC MUA use Goldenrod as a transition color once just peeking through a brown crease color and I loved it. So much so that I bought goldenrod but I have a tough time making it work when I try to use it.

I am a noob at collecting MAC e/s:( I only have 4 quads and 14 e/s's in my double palette. I have only a few bright colors so I am really wanting some suggestions on MAC dupes for the new Dior Bird Of Paradise Quint. http://fabfashionfix.com/dior-bird-of-paradise-summer-2013-make-up-collection/
