This collection was not a hit for me. I'm a lipstick girl and since I already own siss and yash I didnt attempt to purchase anything. Trying to hold out for rocky horror and the matte lip collection. By the way

Yeah I didn't fall for this collection. It was blah to me. But there's another matte lip collection coming out? Are they repromotes?

I bought NTS two days ago. I thought I would be able to skip this collection but obviously I wasn't

To be honest with you guys this is my first blush ever (@Vineetha: I got my first blush

and I bought it to try it out and use it as a contour.
It is a really nice and subtle shade - as I am more into natural looking make up (on me) I think that's just the shade for me.
Too bad that my skin is not nice at the moment (really dry and I can't really do anything about it), bec that makes it hard to apply that baby evenly.
I haven't used it as an eyeshadow yet but I might try that as well :)

YAYYYY!!!! I am so glad you love it!!!!

Wow. I'm surprised they sent you replacements free of charge. I don't know if they'd throw them away if the items are unopened though.
Well, to be fair, they DID charge me and not send me a product in the first case. And in the second case the brush did just fall apart, like it was from a bad batch or something. BUT, I was mostly impressed that they just believed me, I thought I was going to have to mail in the brush and prove it, like some kind of insurance claim! And with the lipliner I thought I was going to have to argue and cry because the packing slip SAID it was in there, but it WASN'T. I feel like they probably looked at my purchase history and saw that I had never returned anything before, I'd been shopping there for over ten years, and I spent a LOT of money on MAC... If I ever have a company that's what I'll do, I'll keep my eyes out for abusers and make sure to reward regular shoppers who are honest!

I feel like it would be fine to just sanitize the product and re-sell it, but a lot of people have told me that it's a liability issue to re-sell makeup that you can't PROVE hasn't been used... I don't know what their official policy is... maybe they should have a page where you buy returned items at half price and check a button that's like "I understand my product may not be in new condition." Idk. Someone needs to inform me on this issue.

Yeah, I'm amazed at the customer service. But I wish they wouldn't destroy perfectly good, resellable products. I understand though.

Well when I purchased from the proenza collection they sent me the wrong blush. When i called cs they sent the correct blush and told me to keep the other one free of charge.so my guess is that MAC knows how much we spend with them on a regular basis so it wouldn't be a reason to lie after hundreds of dollars are spent

Not odd at all that MAC sent replacements for a shipping problem. Only time they may hesitate to do so is if you habitually have "shipping" issues. Would start looking suspect. And as far as them throwing returned products away...this is exactly what they do. They can not resell them. It's a safety issue.

I understand that. It would be like returning candy to a store.

Well, I packed it up. I am going to wait for the UPS label and just send it back. It is the right thing to do. I can't keep both and feel good about it since I only paid for one. If they throw it away, so be it. What can I say? I totally understand the safety thing despite the fact that I KNOW I didn't even touch the products. Can you imagine getting a used looking lippie! Eeeewwww.

I would have done the same! would have been good to know it wont be destroyed if it is not used, but it doesnt feel right not doing something just because!

Maybe I'm awful, but I would have given them to friends! It's the delivery people's fault, not yours. I'd feel awful and feel really bad for MAC and be sure to spend lots of money there in the future... but by returning it, nobody wins but your conscience, and honestly, it's a false win because like I said, no one benefits... Some things in life just can't be undone... Jus' sayin', b mad at the delivery dudes, not urself! If MAC wants the money back, they should call THEM :)

It's really nt abt being mad! I am sure MAC wouldn't even know if we don't let them know later! When they were ready to do something like that and even overnighted it, it just feels right doing that! As for what happens post that is what happens with all the returns too; used or unused. :(

I'm going to have to return my Spite lipglass. It just smells too bad to even use.
Call get a replacement, if they allow it. Or a refund if you really don't like it, other than the smell.
Don't return the lipglass, just put it in the back 2 MAC pile.
That is just my two cents. They toss it anyways, and you may as well just put it into getting a free lippie.
