ok..saw everything on the website, and swatches on here...so

I have to the quad for makeup kit purposes. I'm also getting Festivity b/c I miss out on the Pink Cabana, and it looks so close. I also missed on Pink Meringue.
I love pigments, but these don't do much for me. esp with the chunky texture. nope. but let me see whenever I go to my f/s store.

I'm actually not getting a single thing from this collection. It all seems so...I dunno, done before? And I'm not into the goth look, and while I know I don't have to make it look goth, the fact that it's merchadised like that turns me off. I was interested in the highlight powders but the girl on Live Chat couldn't answer any of my questions about them and I don't live close enough to a counter to check them out. I guess I'll save some money! I did just make an order with some regular line products though and 2 Rubia lipsticks, so that satisfies my need for new MAC

well damn. In looking at the swatches photos, Violet Trance looks mega-chalky. It's the only reason why I want that quad, and I really don't want to spend forty five dollars (damn shipping fees) on something that'll have me cursing and trying to perfect forever.

Y'know what's sad? I may end up getting it anyway since I adore the color. And since I don't live near a Pro store--the nearest one's in Dallas and I'm in Houston, joy--I can't get an imitatation. I don't think there's a color that looks anything like that sold through the regular MAC stores, is there.

I think that the promo pic is absolutely horrible. I hate it, and I love 'gothy' things. She is just not cute at all, and her eyebrows are missing in action. Her hair looks like a hairy top hat, maybe that is the intention, but I hate it.

I want absolutely nothing in this collection except MAYBE the nail polish Vin Goth.

BEWARE OF THE HIGH-LIGHT POWDERS
I just visited a MAC counter and got to test the High-Light Powders. They are NOT at all what they are described as. They work absolutely well as highlighters - for like 5 tries. The shimmer is only on the TOP layer, that means that once you use it a few times there is no more shimmery highlight, only color. Treat these two powders as BLUSH powders. Beware before you buy.

The promo pic aside, I LOVE this collection! But then I love purple...and gothy things. I ordered my haul from the site this morning:

And a few non-Balloonacy items I had no intention of buying...

I think, that after seeing swatches and stuff, I'll only be getting the pigments, and maybe a lippie and a lipglass :/ Pretty disappointed, specially with the highlight powders, and the purple in the quad

Charm Factor is slightly more peachy/orange toned than Festivity but they are very similar. I think if you already have Charm Factor you most likely wouldn't need Festivity. HTH!

Oh man, this collection is so made for me. It enbodies everything I love about the heavy goth look and I love the promo pic too. I am trying to decide on the quad because people are saying the purple is chalky, but damn, I am in love with this one!!! Can't wait to go and pick up my stuff.

Thanks for the heads up on the high light powders. That just saved me some money.
Although the promo pic does nothing for me I will be getting silly girl and perky l/g, all 3 pigments, the quad and the mint and olive soft sparkle pencil. Even without the high light powders, this collection is still going to set me back.

Oh I know. I go there twice a year with my best friend (I'm disabled and can't drive; yay.). She's still at college in Denton and I have no idea when she's coming home.

In perusing the Pro site, the best option I've got looks like getting Red Violet and mixing it with Parfait Amour and maybe a bit of Flashtrack. I wonder if the one in the Galleria will have Red Violet. I went there last summer looking for a blue paint stick and no dice, sadly.

In response to my previous post (quoted), if anyone wants a highlighter that pretty much DOES work, I suggest trying to find a store or counter that has some Mineralize Skinfinishes left. Shimpagne should still be around, is an amazing color, and is a true 'highlighter' through and through.

Well, I've decided to get that friggin' quad anyway. Even if the damn violet's chalky, I can't resist-- the shade's godly. The only thing that sucks is that right now I'm on a budget. My one consolation on that seems to be that the quads sell out rather slowly. Hell, the MAC website still has a quad from Untamed! I bought them both a few weeks ago and if they're still there, then hopefully when I'm able to buy Pandamonium it will still be there.

of course now that i've said that the karmatic forces in life shall dictate that the quad will be the first thing to sell out. damn you, Line! you're not amusing! *dies a horrible horrible death*

to the lady who asked how much the quads are, they go for $42 in canada... and im so sad to hear about the lack of shimmer in the beauty powders!! that is incredibly deceiving because even at update they stayed shiny for all of our swatches!!! grr hiss! at least the colors make for pretty blush though
